3 & Out: Dez vs. Dallas A Feel-Good Story We Need

mf3ju834bcdixvmbo9iy

Dez Bryant didn t leave the Cowboys on his terms two years ago. But next Tuesday s matchup should be viewed as a celebration of his impressive comeback with the Ravens.

FRISCO, Texas – Back with three quick topics as the Cowboys find themselves in the middle of an unexpected mini-bye before Baltimore in just over a week:

  • Dez's Comeback
  • Schedule Changes
  • NFC East Prediction
I Know…
the 2020 season needs more stories like Dez Bryant's comeback with Baltimore.

The Ravens still have a game to go (Wednesday's pandemic-delayed kickoff against the Steelers) before facing the Cowboys next Tuesday in primetime. That's the matchup everyone wants to see: Dez vs. his beloved former team.

Bryant is the Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown catches (73) and their unofficial leader in ridiculous catches, touchdowns or otherwise. When CeeDee Lamb made that spectacular end-zone grab against Minnesota two weeks ago wearing the famed No. 88, a lot of fans had feel-good Dez flashbacks. That speaks to the moments he gave them for eight seasons.

His release followed by the subsequent idiocy and disrespect the Jones boys showed him by proclaiming the Cowboys didn't need a Number #1 receiver (which they were then forced to address trading a 1st round pick for Cooper) , was inexcusable......

This is dumb, cowboys fans don’t need fee good stories about former players on other teams this year....

I love dez as much as the next guy and am happy for him but he’s not a cowboy anymore and we play the team he’s on next week

Speak for yourself. Here for all the feel goods for Dez after how poorly he was trewated by the team and fan base.

I liked Dez and hope he has success. I'd love to see him "go off" next week against Cowboys.

That said...he wasn't helping Dallas and was totally unfit to be treated as a #1 receiver. Since he left his production? 28 yards in two seasons. Two years in a row he's had difficulty finding any team interested in his services.

Saints signed him on Nov 7, 2018 for $1.25 mil.
Ravens signed him to active roster Nov 28 for $1.05 mil.

Dollars and time-frame tell you what the league thinks of his current skillset.

He got bumped up from the practice squad in Baltimore because of health/injuries.

Once Dez lost some of his elite athleticism he didn't have a lot to offer. Never honed his craft.

How is this a "feel good" story? Who gives a rat's about Dez? It's no more a feel-good story than it would be playing against Anthony Hitchens. Who cares? Dez will probably score 4 TDs and it will be all the talk of the NFL for a week, then he will be shut down by other defenses.

Let's hope he scores 5 TDs in front of Jerral Wayne. He so deserves it. The more embarrassed this clown Jerral looks on national TV up in his box the better. Kick butts Dez!!!

No no no.....
You have to think outside of the box.
Your way is how a typical egotistical neurotic person would react to being embarrassed.
.
Jerry thrives on being embarrassed. He'll just try to prove that you're wrong even more vigorously.
So, there's the vicious cycle the Cow-girls are in.... for the last 27 years.

You're right. :( Even bad publicity is good for that idiot. But I STILL want him thoroughly embarrassed in front of the nation regardless of what HE thinks. I want him to be the laughing stock. And I want Dez's X done facing UP straight at the owners open bar....I mean box.

I want the Cowboys to win, but for Dez to have a big game. Something like a 42-40 shootout win would be nice, with Dez snagging four TDs.

I speak for myself and many....feel good about dez if you want but it has ZERO to do with making any cowboys fans feel good about this trash crap show of a season.

right now this team and it’s fan base need to be pissed off and have no “feel good” stories....let alone something from a former player on another team...

there has to be so much anger and frustration built in the fan base and on the team that change happens other wise we will see the same garbage again next year.

Ha....making me laugh....feel good stories about a former player making us feel better about a 3-8 team, come on man

he was glorified by fans here for 4 years, maybe 5, and jerry paid him 80 million + his rookie contract money !
If that is treating him badly, please someone treat me badly !!!!!!

He went out on low terms, due to he was paid to be the 2nd best wr in the nfl, and he quickly turned into a avg wr, didnt earn the big contract.

I'm not routing for another teams player. That's just not in my blood. In fact, with all of the whining and causing distractions he's done, I wouldn't mind a wake up call from Donovan Wilson. Dallas Cowboys first. This isn't fantasy football.

If he scores, will our DBs celebrate in the end zone with him?
