You sure? We were a watermelon kick from 0-4 I know that.
How was our defense playing in those 4 games?
I guess Dak needs to pas for over 3k yards instead of 2k to be good enough.

Surely you have been watching football long enough to figure out defense matter a little bit right?

in a season of irrelevance, put a microphone in front of any sports jock and he/she will say anything to come across as relevant.

Major media figures would not be on camera unless they were a paragon of decorum and insight.

PS, Troy Aikman is gay.

He's been offered market value and turned it down b/c he wanted a shorter contract. Thats called greed. He got greedy, made a bet, and lost.
Him losing is yet to be determined. Based upon how crappy our QBs have been his greed should pay off.

Why people keep forgetting this is beyond sad. Dak says theres no price, but we all know there is. Dak turned down a generous offer and people act like they forget or they think they offered minimum wage.

I didn’t blame Dak. Of course the defense is to blame.

But Dak wants money like he’s special.

You want to point to things that aren’t optimal.. Well Dalton can win with everything optimal.

The goal is to win a Super Bowl.. Its hard to pay a QB that much money that needs everything around him to be optimal as well and win it.

This and the locker room knows it. And they didn’t like it. His leadership took a hit on that move. And his agent ruined him.

This dude trying to convince fans DAK 100% need to be paid. Lmao. Don’t know what’s worse his take or his years on Dallas.

If I recall correctly, Marcellus was against paying Dak now he's playing the Babyface. I think Skip has turned heel after unwaveringly supporting Dak.

Any resident capologists looked at the cap situation with tagging Prescott again at 37M? 175M keeps coming up as the possible cap for next season so one player at 21% seems really high.

The leverage for Booger might be in their draft position. If they end up in Blue Chip QB territory, 1-5 for Lawrence, Trask, Fields, Wilson or Lance, He has some wiggle room with the money and the deadline. Agree to the deal before the draft or they draft a QB and the deal is off the table. Agree to the deal and they spend that pick on someone to help him.

If they tag him, he could pull a no show and not do damage to his image because of the circumstances of this season. The other fallout factor of a second tag is they better have an option for 2022 at QB because he'll be gone.

The read I make is that the Cowboys look like the bad guys in the lack of a deal this year, the public usually sides with the player but this one was so high profile that I think Prescott got the white hat in this. He can pretty do what he wants and people will be OK with him.

As far as any of these talking head ex players, I could care less what they think, they're hardly experts in anything.

The the defense we have this season (especially the first half of the season) no QB in the history of this sport would win a SB.
Look at how little this offense scores per game with Dak and without Dak.
People like to pretend this offense is so special that anyone can win with them. That's been proven to not be true.
The O Line is where it starts and truth be told they have not been very good in several years. I guess its easier to throw venom at dak, zeke, amari.

Fix this defense and this O line or any SB talk is just a joke. Even if Mahommes was at QB.

The Cowboys will be more talented with Dak than without Dak. The question is for how much and is his cap hit worth it.

Dat Dude is worthless though. Just the fact that he speaks something makes you automatically assume that his point is trash.

The problem is I've seen Dak play with good defense too and it didn't really matter.

My problem with Dak is he feasts on bad teams and is nowhere to be found against good teams. He piles up stats on the weak but does nothing against good teams.

There were plenty of times in 2019 where our defense couldn't have played any better than they did and Dak just couldn't deliver.

So if the defense is so bad that no qb in history could win with, which I disagree because I think some QB's could get off to better starts offensively in games then Dallas did, then I just don't see the point of locking us into mediocrity with Dak.

Right now you're telling me he can win if everything is perfect. I want to pay a QB 40 million a year that can win when surrounded by chaos.

Huh??? What does Brady have to do with anything. Atlanta has been bad since losing the Super Bowl. They still decided to pay their quarterback. They are too talented to totally tank. The Cowboys need to stay away from that lane.
Do you think the pats would have let brady walk if he were 26 and not 43? Ryan's getting up there in age. 35 i think.
