This move was made by jeffrey lurie. Pederson can say what he wants in face saving comments. His leash allows that. But hurts will start the next game. Ownership has put its foot down.

I mean the right move may be to shut him down. But they are paying him a lot of money and the NFC East is still in play for them.

Personally, I'd keep him in there and let him work out whatever he's going through. Worse case scenario he sucks and they get a good draft pick. Best case scenario they can get him out of this funk.

Pretty obvious Wenzy can’t take the heat in Philly. He needs a fresh start with a team like Denver where the culture is more chill.
This talk of trading Wentz is crazy.

Trading or cutting Wentz pre June 1 will cost the Eagles $77.9M in dead cap money (overthecap.com).

It's not going to happen. The Eagles are stuck with him.

Did he ever play on the level that Wentz did in 2017 though? People were thinking Wentz was one of the best quarterbacks in the league in 2017.....this fall from grace came rather fast and out of nowhere.

Probably because I was never one that thought Wentz was that good. He only played well with the perfect team around him. That's probably why Nick Foles came in and they didn't skip a beat.

I think back somewhere around 2012, I forget the exact years, RG3 looked better than Wentz for a couple of years. And he wasn't on a super bowl caliber team.

Agree...I'd keep him at least one more year. Get him a top RB and stud WR and go from there. But this move is Peterson trying to save the season and possibly his job.

If that happens with Wentz moving on in a trade - and a team willing to take to that sizeable contract . .and depending which team happens to be that
direly needs a QB badly i think Wentz has enough salvageable foundation to resurrect his career.

- Wentz is just making far more puzzling bad decisions. with killer turnovers and off -inaccuracy.

- OL crash hurt Wentz who remarkably has stayed healthy despite being sacked the most by any QB but its up to management to provide depth (ala cam erving, Knight, McGovern, Looney)

- Pederson does not believe in running the ball - it's just cosmetic with Eagles and they only do so in spots. when they had trade for Jay Ajayi, and
backs like cory fleming were making plays - that took a lot off the QBs They talk so much of how high they are on Thomas sanders but don't utilize him

- how much of Eagles success could have been more ex-OC and now Colts HC Frank Reich,.... than it was Pederson ?
Is Pederson now being exposed as a lesser offensive mind ?

- Wentz has been without his targets Ertz and Dallas for much of season , Jefferies is trash, and are Eagles regretting bypassing Justin Jefferson
for TCU Jalen Reagor ?

- i thought of 2nd round pick Hurtz as to be a primary backup for durable questioned Wentz, ..but could we be seeing the beginning of end for Wentz.
in both an coaching staff and owner that are clearly frustrated with him.
We wouldn't see Dak being benched and Jerry turning his back on him ..
