Hey y'all gimme a damn break here, how'd I know Williams was getting fired so early? I'm bored and just looking for chatter for engagement and using the work "tank' gets some action.

The shame of this is Nolan didn't do this, wouldn't that have been fun? We'd have gotten at least two weeks out of that with the over and under at 20 on how many "this again" posts we'd get.

Picking between Fields and Lawrence isn’t an enviable position because one of them will likely end up being loads better than the other. I’d be afraid of making the wrong choice.

I think the #2 QB is still up for grabs.

Fields is clearly the #2 between he and Lawrence. Lawrence is too talented.

Zach Wilson is closing on Fields and just looks like he posses more skill for the position.

Fields doesn't put anything incredible on display IMO. He's got a Dak Prescott skill set and I just want to see more.

I want to see Fields improvise.. I want to see him throw to a guy before he is open. Some anticipation on throws.

If you’re going to throw a game why wait until such a critical point in the game?

I think fans are reaching here.
exactly all this is nonsense as i stated on yet another jets tank post like we need 2-3..they started and played darnold, if they were tanking darnold is sat for some Jag PS QB and that goes for others starters ..the jets played hard and to win..they got beat because they singe covered the fastest wr on the team and cb bit on a stop and go when he should have known who cares what happens underneath nothing LONG gets by you , that was his mistake.. he should have played 15yards back and let ruggs start running and stayed behind him no matter what..one payer makes mistake and its a conspiracy. have they seen our Cbs, its regulars occurrence..

I’m not sure how a 31-28 loss is tanking? I think too much is being made of one play.

True,...i think the tanking would have come in instances throughout the game....not make it come down to one play and so obvious. but one never knows though. I still feel the Jets want that number one pick....no bones about it. Even if it takes going winless. The jags giving them a run for their money.

Trask, Jones and Lance are in the conversation as well. And I wouldn't sleep on Ian Book.

The CFP this season could be the QB showcase. The ACC and SEC conference championships will definitely be that.

It’s way to early..

My only sure thing right now is Lawrence..

These other guys I need to watch a lot more.. Jags have to take a QB I would think.

In general QBs get reached for and that’s why you see so many busts.

I want a QB with a lot of mobility too.

Seen something Saturday, as one analyst had Trask as #6 in the QB order. Can't recall the order right now other than Trevor then Justin as 1 & 2.

I think 6 get taken in the 1st and could be 7. It's a combination of college ball being increasingly QB driven, even the SEC which usually got by with NFL future backup QB's, and the early showing of these QB's taken in the last few drafts. Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray, Tua, Lamar Jackson are paving the way and only players like Rosen and maybe Darnold are busting and Darnold might just be the symptom with the Jets.

Couple the QB's in this draft with the lack of depth at other positions and it's a good time to take a swing at one. CIN will most likely take the best OT off the board.

sure it is and I'm not starting these threads,

however im betting the DC know more then we do on Daks deal..for all we know is those reports about Dak nearly signing before the deadline and they just missed getting it in, they may have already said as soon as the Off season starts they already agreed to the deal..

I doubt we take a QB high in this draft unless a highly regarded one fall say early 2nd/3rd round and they have first round grade

I hope we are out of that market.

We haven't drafted a QB in round 1 since Aikman. WE also haven't won squat since Aikman.

It's time to actually use a premium pick on one of these guys or just continue to chalk up another year of no Superbowl.

To me.. Lawrence is a 1 way ticket back to the glory days for this franchise but I don't think the Jones's are what they used to be. Too conservative in their approach now days to do anything not by the book.

Trask gets his audition against Bama in two weeks and could climb. His story is a lot like Burrow's, late to the party but might be bringing the best beer.

Lawrence has been so highly touted since he was recruited that he should be the 1st pick but several of these QB's are used to college open and he's one of them, as well as Fields. Lawrence reminds me of Josh Allen, athletic, tall with a big arm. Good combination. And Allen seems to be getting the Murray treatment this season with his light being kept under a basket.

Don't know about you but I am growing weary, exponentially, with all of the Mahomes second coming crap. While they can't stop anointing him, Rodgers is having the MVP season with lesser talent.

I could see a GB / Chiefs Superbowl.

Mahomes is the 2nd coming though lol. He's the most gifted QB ever.

The evolution of the game has been building up for the moment when a guy could run like a deer and throw a football like Aaron Rodgers.

Mahomes is that guy and I think more of him are on the way and if you have the traditional pocket passer then you will be at a disadvantage.

Right, three hours of football and a 31-28 lead then suddenly with 13 seconds left the "tank" order comes down. I guess they wanted to make it look good, but that was sure cutting it close.

I'd swear some of you never played a down of organized football in your entire life.

Williams is known to be a mad blitzer and wanted to make Carr throw early. It backfired when the blitz didn't get there. Ruggs beat man coverage and the result was a TD. No tinfoil hat needed.

Still don't believe it? Why would a coach on the verge of being fired intentionally lose a game to help the team who is firing him? :muttley:

I completely agree that the deal is done and will get signed on the first day. They're not tagging him again and they're not taking a QB wherever they pick.

As an owner, you send you team into a season with a tagged QB and new coaching staff, you are asking for trouble without all of the injuries.

Prescott gets his deal, the coaching staff stays intact and everyone gets a do over for 2021. And I think that is fair.

Don't you think the Joneses lost their pucker up there in that suite when he went down with his ankle at 90 degrees? That was a PR nightmare and the textbook case for not taking the tag. Booger is susceptible to public opinion and I'd day that is overwhelming in support of his locking up Dak Prescott.

And this is the general public I am talking about, not the X and O guys picking apart his game. All people know is the team with and without him and that he risked his career for this season and it could have ended. He is extremely well liked and that is important to Booger.

That's my pick, the State Farm Bowl. The rematch of the first ever SB before it was called the SB.

Before the year I had NO & KC.

I'm switching to GB & KC as of now.. Rodgers just has that look.

AFC will be tough though for any team.

KC/Pitt./Bills are all legit.

Titans play a 50/50 brand of football so the coin could land on their side any Sunday.

NFC is too tough to call.
