Who would've expected the Skins and Giants to be fighting for the division after 12 weeks?

Also, here's a simple little math lesson. Cowboys have 3 wins and still have 5 games left, so it's technically possible to finish with 8 wins. No other team has more than 5 wins right now. The only divisional game left besides the Cowboys' games is Commanders vs Eagles. So the other teams can lose out and all finish no better than 5-11. So, yes, Dallas is still mathematically in it. But, yes, they also suck.

I actually thought the Giants would take the division...until they lost Barkley.

Slim to none now.

Pre thanksgiving it looked good with a win over the WFT. But a loss there, followed by huge wins by the Giants and WFT, likely ends us. Highly unlikely we win tonight and are back three games with four to go.

Giants and No Names are 2 games clear of us and the Eagles with 4 (5 for us) to go. No names have a disintegrating Eagles in week 17. Means we need to win at least 3 games out of 5 to win the division.

Why would we want to that? We win the division and we could possibly go from a top 5 pick to drafting 19. We wouldn’t win a playoff game even if we did miraculously win the division.

If draft picks are that important, we should “tank” every season.

When I hear some of our fans accept excuses for how bad the Cowboys have played this year, it always starts with the injuries and having a new coaching staff in a pandemic.

Have we forgotten that the two NFC East teams surging ahead right now, have also had major injuries and both teams have also had new HCs?
  • WFT- Have played 3 QBs, one of which left the field with a broken leg and lost several other starters to injury. Ron Rivera, their new HC, has endured months of chemotherapy for squamous cell cancer. They have won 3 in a row and seem to have some real momentum.
  • NYG- like Dallas, have a new HC and coaching staff, lost their best player to a leg injury, and have won two games without their starting QB Daniel Jones.
I’m not saying our injuries or new coaching staff haven’t caused major problems. But don’t kid yourself into thinking they the only reasons this team has been so bad this year. In all my years of following sports, I’ve never seen an owner or GM so willing to accept excuses for poor play.

I'm currently leading my fantasy matchup, against the other first place squad, 193 - 122. He has one 'player' left to play and it's the Ravens' D. I'm legit worried that they may break the all-time points totaled by a Defense and this guy is asking about the 'boys playoff chances. One of us needs to rethink our future because they're still living in '95.

some of the coaches were hired only because they are friends/buddies with big Mike. [Nolan, Philbin, Davis, McCurley, Harris]

Our Assistant HC, Davis, isn't even a coach. He was a players exec.

Its an Employment Compensation Program.

Jerry should demand his money back.

At some point we’d need to win some games.

At least 3 more and hope Commanders don’t win another one since they swept us.

It’s all but over.
I am not into anything if it means we damage our draft position.

We can play hard but not win.

We have a possible chance of bouncing back in 2021 after we have learned our lessons of 2020.

But I just will not have any hope if we have to give Dak $40 mil to play next year and that and more after that.

He will never be Mahomes and especially after his ankle injury. If Dak can't or won't run in 2021 and has to be a pocket passer only..

we will be jumping off cliffs complaining.

Stand bye.

True. This is honestly fort he best. I think with Garrett and Maranelli we basically were treating a gun shot wound with a band aid. They covered up so many issues for this franchise. I don't mean that as a compliment either. They were bad. A first step in the right direction is building this defense up with some draft picks and a top 10 pick will help.

LOL........sure seems like a compliment to me.

Part of the big reason we are in this mess is because of the wasteland of defensive draft picks the former regime left for the new one.

The new regime is literally tasked with overhauling the defense completely. Only players on defense that were quality holdovers were LVE, Lawrence, and Gregory. THATS IT!!!!!

We have huge overpaid contracts in guys like Zeke and Jaylon.

Last years draft haul was great, this years should be helped with a top 5 pick in every round. Then after next season we can get out of bad contracts like Zeke and Jaylon. And if they like, they can even get out of Cooper. Those 3 contracts frees up some 50 million in salary that can be used to fill any other holes we may have to complete the rebuild.

Comparing them to band aid treatment for a gun shot wound is a compliment to you?

The reason we are in this mess is because the players we did have didn't get coached or developed. We wasted years on Chido, Lewis and Brown not developing them and having them play schemes that don't fit their strengths.
