The lack of burst thingie is mostly from fans who don't like Z, so they just repeat anything negative.

Just noted the oft-mentioned Derrick Henry this week - 15 carries, 60 yards, 4.0 ypc, no touchdowns. And only one 10 yard run, meaning other than that, 14 for 50, 3.57 ypc.

ANY running back can be stopped or severely limited, if a team really wants to do that...

The teams that stop Henry are the ones who understand that you must get to him before he gets going. The Browns have one of the best DL units in the NFL, and did just that.

And certain teams stop RB's much better than others. Not a simple quotient where one can just analyze YPC.

What's getting me off the Z bandwagon is the fumbles. Those simply cannot happen.

Zeke is a good grinder, overpaid but effective. When he doesn't fumble!!! He's also a good pass catcher. I don't think anyone even knows that he caught 77 passes in 2018.

His holdout was a terrible idea and has hurt his play immensely.

Its weird, he doesnt look like a natural pass catcher and it seems like most of the passes to him are awkward or extremely tough.

We just saw the Seahawks lose to the Giants, Wilson only threw for 263 yards and one td, Giants put a lot of pressure on him, there are ways to stop anybody...

Yeah, he's more like Emmit, good for screens and such, but not for going out on long routes. Most RB's aren't.

Absolutely. And it starts up front. Giants rebuilt their DLine around 2 mammoths in the middle, Tomlinson(319) and Lawrence(342). And then acquired Leonard Williams for a song, a 3 and a 5. And also acquired Jabrill Peppers for OBJ, and got a 1st and 3rd round pick to boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is how you build a D. You trade away your WR's instead of overpaying.

ya he has regressed in the pass catching department. I dont remember seeing the dropped passes in 2018. I didnt like the pick in 2016 and i like it less now but that being said he can still help the team

It can all come together one year, or fall apart one year. Chris Johnson ran for 2,006 yards in his second year, with a 5.6 ypc, mainly due to his great speed, but the next year he was "down" to 1,364 yards and 4.3 ypc. Teams make adjustments, even if Zeke doesn't get all the way back to his 2016 level, he's still one of the better backs in the NFL....

It doesn’t hurt that the Giants have one of the best D Coordinators in the league IMO, are a top 5-10 defense statistically IIRC and have several young players who will only improve.

I don't remember Z dropping a lot of passes this season.

Not liking the pick is irrelevant at this point and in this discussion

Most definitely is relevant as the cowboys could have had both Ramsey and Henry it’s why you see the amount of threads that you do . His pay , his performance and the what if’s and the continued stupidity of the Jones’s which is partly why I am not sure they make right pick at 4 anyhow

Improvement in your NFL team? What's that? I'm not familiar with that concept...

Ha...well I’m not sure if they’ll improve, I just say that because they are young and have been improving this year but I’m not so sure if the improvement is more due the players skills or the D coordinator and them learning the defense as the season has gone on.

They do have some players that have come along though (Bradberry, Martinez, Williams, etc). Ugh they’re talking about them on ESPN right now and discussing whether they’re actually good or not. General consensus amongst the idiots is they are currently a good team. They still have a very tough schedule, if they win 2 of their next 3 then they are probably actually borderline good (AZ, Cleveland, Baltimore).

Pahahahahahaha

4.0 ypc is better than Zeke's season average

Not, it's not relevant.

We're discussing his usefulness going forward. You're throwing your little emotions into a rational discussion for no reason.

Yup. Had a down game against Cleveland where he faced stacked boxes 40% of his rushing attempts. Compare to Zeke against Cleveland, where they didn't stack the box at all for him, and Zeke actually grinded out a 4.5 ypc average.
