All the season's record does is guarantee what number a team picks, not what player they end up drafting.
.
.
True but I do not proclaim who this team or any team in any sport will pick every year. Or how each drafted player's career will progress afterwards.

Wins and losses are completely outside fans' control. Same goes for the draft. I am not certain why anyone (not you of course) does not understand this reality.

Yep, we just played ourselves out of the best offensive lineman since Zack Martin and a clone of Tyron Smith (w/ possibly a higher ceiling than Tyron). That kid from Oregon has given up 1 sack in 1,400 snaps. Yes, ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED snaps & 1 sack a roo.

Good. Don't need OT.

What we did was dumb today. What was the win for? Honor? Integrity? Because winning against not only a meddling, weak Bengals team that is missing their QB sad and sorry, but it messed up our draft pick in the process. AND BEFORE anyone says “Oh oh a high draft pick means nothing!!” We could’ve traded down that high draft pick for more picks!! It’s clear as day that our secondary is depleted and that we need more players on defense/O-line in case someone goes out with an injury. A surplus of (good) draft picks will help with that tremendously. However, Dallas cannot even tank right. We will be the 5-6 draft pick AT BEST. If we win against Philly, we’re looking to be anywhere from the 9-12 pick. How stupid.
Just, stupid. That’s how we got Garrett in the first place - the Eagles gifted that fraud an end of the season win. So ..... stupid.

A REAL fan is willing to take a little pain for the good of the franchise. Obviously your not willing to do that. Your nothing more then a casual cheerleader. You dont have the stomach to understand whats best for this team.

Lets just get to the bottom line. Im rooting for a top 5 pick and your rooting for the 19th pick. What kind of fan are you? Eagles fan maybe?

No I root for my team to win their games and ACCEPT where they end up in the draft. Teams that go out and lose have a bad season that often times turns into 2 and then 3 and before you know it that losing has gone on for a decade. Why because the players start to think losing is the way of the team and all of the good players when their contracts are up will move on to other teams as fast as they can who don't have a culture that started by losing for a draft pick that ended up lasting longer than that year. Pretty soon there is a carousel of coaches and they turn into the 2003-2017 browns.

Good. No QB/OT. Draft defense.

Its not that simple and you know it. You could still take defense at 3. But now you have the added draft capital to trade down if you can and pick up an extra 2nd rounder going from 3 to 8.

winning this battle, might have lost us the war .

We've been losing the war for 25 years. Is picking 3 spots higher really going to put us over the top?

I wish it was that easy, but Jerry & Son will still be making the picks.

The eternal fallacious premise is that tanking will guarantee a 'can't miss' player at a high draft selection. You named Parsons and Wilson. Which player will Jones pick? Not maybe but shall make a Dallas Cowboy in 2021.

All good.

Just need to count on Tyron Smith playing another five years.

Even though he is financially set and risking his health. Next big injury he is gone forever and we will be chasing left tackle thereafter......and Brandon Knight can protect our 175M QB.

At least we won today. That was awesome.

Would have loved to revitalize the O line but whatever. We're probably going to end up picking 7 by winning pointless games. I just feel this franchise is going to be stuck in perpetual mediocrity as it has the past 25 years. We can't even tank right lol

Cincy should have won this game easily, a spare of a QB goes up and down the field, a 13 and 15 play drives resulting in zero points for Cincy, three turnovers where Dallas scored 17 points off of them..

I don't want Dallas to win another game, I want the highest draft pick possible and either take an elite player or trade back for a boat load of picks.....

Who was the elite OT in last year's draft? NYG took OT Andrew Thomas and so far he absolutely stinks.

1) Joe Burrow is going to be good if he can stay healthy.
2) Chase Young - 24 Tackles and 4.5 sacks. Nothing earth-shattering there.
3) Ogudah - 41 Tackles, I INT, and 2 passes defensed.
5) Tua - Nothing special
6) Herbert - Looks pretty good. Can't get wins.
7) Derrick Brown - 14 Tackles, 0 sacks
8) Isaiah Simmons - 32 Tackles, 1 sack
9) C.J Henderson - 27 Tackles, I INT, 6 passes defensed

CeeDee Lamb is as good or better than any of the WRs (Ruggs and Jeudy) taken before him. Diggs looks as good or better than Ogudah. Haven't watched Ogudah much.
Other than Burrow, Young, and Herbert the other 6 players are doing nothing.

Yeah, while we like to have higher draft picks, we are not getting Lawrence or Fields. I don't think teams will be looking to trade for anyone other than Lawrence or Fields. Recent drafts have been just as good in the later part of the rounds as the top part of the rounds.

Enjoy the win and hope Wash and Philly lose.
