What do you really care. Lol

I mean honestly.

as a fan I’m more bothered by the fact that the cowboys aren’t a good football team. Than I am in whether other fans want them to beat the bengals in a meaningless game.

For all intents and purposes we are watching preseason games, except winning hurts the team. It’s not that hard to understand why winning these games doesn’t provide any joy, especially when they are against crappy teams. Maybe punking the Chiefs would be alright but it’s the Bengals with their best player injured.

I would love nothing more. Then for the cowboys to be 8-5
Or 9-4 right now. And excited about the win today because they are jockeying for playoff position down the stretch.

I would LOVE that.

it freaking sucks that the cowboys season fell apart and they stink.

I would LOVE for them to be a good team and these games to be meaningful
And to have cowboy playoff football to look forward to.

None of that is the reality though.

I just don't get it. What would anyone root for a loss???? Yeah, yeah, higher draft pick, but that's not a guarantee. How can anyone watch their team and hope that they lose????
Well, I'll try to explain.....

I got my behind handed to me all year by kids my size, and today I found a third grader to beat the living crap out of.

Glasses, I'm sure, were clanging on Air Force Jerry, but I'm not thrilled.

Because you’re rooting for the best chance to win a championship. If you think the team has the talent to turn it on then you go down with the ship. I was rooting for the team last year to beat the Eagles in that week 16 game even if it took 8-8 to get to the playoffs because we had the talent to win.

But when you know the defense can’t hang with even average offenses and the OL is devastated, it’s best to give you the best options for the future.

The worst thing is to make the playoffs and go 1 and done when the alternative is get a top 10 pick and give yourself more options to replenish your team.

Some think Trevor Lawrence will be the savior.....some think JJ will make a magical pick.

I think most are not rooting for a loss. I think they see the win as meaningless. A win is a win but this team has no chance of doing anything in the playoffs. Plus the Bengals are terrible. You have to admit a top 3 pick is better than a 8-12 pick especially when they may need a QB. Ultimately fans are deeply frustrated. Very few are cheering for a loss. My opinion...

When you're 3-9 you look at the bigger picture and who you are playing. We could have leapfrogged Cincinnati today in the draft order. At 3-9, winning doesn't help us. Even in the best-case scenario, making the playoffs doesn't help us. Our team sucks and would get slaughtered in the playoffs. Now we are 4-9 and still in the last place in the worst division. We did have the 4th overall draft pick with a prospect of improving that by losing. Now we lost ground to about the 9th position. How do you not see that's much worse?

No the reason this team wants a high pick to begin with is not a magic bullet. It’s hoping you can take advantage of QB needy teams that want to trade up and give you multiple picks. More shots at the dart board give you the best opportunity plus it fills out the top heavy roster with cheap talent.

Exactly. I’m not rooting for losses. I just get no joy out of a meaningless win against a crappy team.
