In turn, the preseason would be cut to either two or three games. There still would be one bye week per club, extending the total regular season to 18 weeks and pushing back the Super Bowl into the second week of February.

I’m already to that point in the season where I want it to be over and adding another game doesn’t tell us anything we don’t know about who should be in the playoffs.

People thought the owners were going to sit on unrealized revenue for a couple years before finally going to 17 games?

Of course this was going to happen ASAP. It would have happened 5 years ago if the owners had their way.

Don't like the addition. But the NFL Championship game on the second Sunday in February is better than starting the regular season before Labor Day.

But Jerry isn't interested in the product. An extra game means what to him? An extra day to stuff his wallet.

They are taking a big gamble risking the loss or marquee players for the post season. Very short sighted, IMO.

I’m with you. Players bodies are hurting as it is. Adding another game is only going to make it worse

Well, cant go 8-8 anymore.

Wondering how they are going to make things fair. Some teams will have 8 home games and some 9.

Then the solution will be to add an 18th game.

That's easy to see.
