I just read on Hog Heavens there are 16 potential outcomes for the divisional crown if Washington loses today:

6 out of 16 for Washington
5 out of 16 for New York
3 out of 16 for Dallas (wins a 3 way tie breaker)
2 out of 16 for Philly

That would make final weekend game very interesting not only for the NFC East Crown, but draft slotting as well. Carolina would move back from that key #4 slot. Washington would have the lower strength of schedule then Dallas and would pick ahead of us if we finished with the same record.

This all means nothing if Washington wins today, but with Haskins as their QB, anything is possible.

It doesn’t mean anything if Dallas loses today. Who cares about the NFC east week 17 if the Cowboys are already eliminated.

The crowd that’s already diving into the draft would be elated with a Panthers win and Cowboys loss. Too bad this teams seems to be ridiculously unpredictable this year and will probably keep hopes for postseason alive until the final whistle next week.

This week could tell us a lot, or nothing lol. Unfortunately I’m sure it’ll be the latter.

You forgetting the whole picture, not just Dallas and the division. Carolina winning helps our draft slot, if Washington doesn't win the division, could pick in front of us, if we have the same record. If the Giants can win the division week 17, you would think the Cowboys would be motivated to knock them out, in turn hurts our draft spot. A lot can happen if Washington does lose today, no matter the outcome of our game.

If Washington loses today, which I think is a long shot, and Philly beats Dallas, Philly will win the division by beating Washington next week. The Eagles are getting healthy again, while the Cowboys are losing more players to injury. Plus, the Eagles defensive front is still good enough to stuff Washington's weak offense.

But I think Alex Smith is playing today, and Washington should have no problem beating the Panthers who are playing for nothing. Baltimore will beat the Giants and Washington will win the division by beating Carolina. And here is my prediction for week 17. With nothing to play for, the Eagles will play the last week like a pre-season game and lose to Washington, while the Cowboys will play the Giants like it matters if they win. The Eagles will leap ahead of the Cowboys in the draft. You know I am right!

Normally most wouldn't care about a team who is playing out the string with a 5-9 record, but there is a lot riding on these two games for the division and the draft.

It's no given Alex Smith plays this week, we will know for sure later today. What we do know is their #1 WR, best RB are also out and they struggle to score even when healthy. Carolina has been competitive all season long, I think they have a fighting chance to win.

What 3 way tie breaker would Dallas win?

Washington will win handily. Carolina has the #4 pick right now and have no reason to give it up.

No they don't. Dallas loses that tie breaker.
No they don't, I read they win the 2nd tie breaker:

Of the remaining 10 outcomes, 5 would go to NY, three to Dallas and two Philadelphia, with the 3-way tie between WFT, Giants and Cowboys going to Dallas on the 2nd tie-breaker.

I can almost see Carolina players having a discussion about draft position in the locker room before kickoff.
Players don't care about draft position. Carolina gave GB all they can handle last week, I am expecting the same against Washington.

They have it wrong. Dallas is the first loser.
