Boy, wouldn't it be great to have a QB that is all about winning? Jerry? Remember what that's like? Jerry?

Many high school kids are “all about winning “ so should we sign them to 40 million/y too?

oh wait, you actually mean “all about winning and CAN LEAD THE TEAM TO WINS AGAINST THE BEST TEAMS AND A SB” which Dak has not done

So then, don’t pay him?

troy hates that jerry likes romo more than troy. he hates that romo makes more money than he does. he hates that romo is a better golfer.

Does he also “hate” that he has 3 SBs and Romo has ZERO and that Troy is known as a winner and Romo a choker?

does he “hate” that too?

I remember the same people hating on Dak calling for Aikman for GM.
And the ones that clung to his "You're either accurate, or you're not" line like it was gospel.

Funny. More boxes checked off my lists.
Exactly
I never understood why people thought Troy would be a great GM
What has he done to say he knows anything about being a GM?
I would hesitate before paying Dak huge money but then I’d look at the other options and give the man a check

JJ tried to lock him into a big contract
People keep forgetting this. 35M for 5 years and Dak didn’t sign because he wanted a 4 year contract. Is Jerry even willing to do a 4 year contract, and if so what would the dollar amount need to be for Dak to sign it?

He would have signed 35M for 4 years last year, so the dollar value is going to have to go up for him to sign a 4 year contract this year. Else why not sign the deal last year and avoid all the risk. When he didn’t sign last offseason the chance Dak becomes Kirk Cousins and plays on a the tag twice before leaving forever jumped up a lot.

Jimmy said we should resign Dak too.

He also added you don’t often get an opportunity to draft a QB this high in the draft and with this being a deep QB draft he’d take one too. And be set at QB for years to come. Worse case scenario add draft capital.
What the heck does Jimmy know about football and QB play....the clueless idiot....

Hey Troy, tell us about that TE you recommended the Cowboys draft when you were the QB. Didn't Troy personally work him out or something?
I don't even pay attention to what this clown Aikman says during a broadcast. Haven't for years.
but you would sit straight up on your chair, focused like Laser if he says anything good about Dalton and will be the first one here, posting his comments...we know how you work....agenda driven

No.. The problem is you’re way to sensitive to any criticism that involves Dak which is mostly based around a contract and not him.
the problem is that you speak from both sides of your mouth. one post you criticize Dak's play, etc. one post you say he is good....

you respond only to win an argument on the comments in the post. you have flip flopped like summer shoes....

but I give you that, you do stick to the contract thing...yet you have never answered why you think the contract is going to stop us from winning. you are avoiding answering that like the plague.

Jerry made a big mistake. he was hung up on 5 year deal. instead if he would have given Dak the 4 year deal he was looking for and use the franchise tag in the 5th year, then he would have gotten similar deal. it would have given Jerry an out after 4 years too. I think Jerry wanted a 5 year deal for 2 reasons, to better work the contract and push dollars to the future and to have a QB in 2024 when the cap is expected to jump by 20-25%......yes, the 4 year deal would have been a little more difficult to manage, but he would have gotten a good deal on a franchise tag for a QB in 2024 since the tag is calculated based on previous existing contracts...Dak wanted to hit FA in 2024 to take advantage of FA and higher caps.

Cowherd had an interesting little clip I watched today showing Dak and Dalton's stats the last 6 games:

Dak's last 6 starts: 3-3, 13 TD, 4 INT, 104.7 passer rating Dalton's last 6 starts: 4-2, 13 TD, 4 INT, 101.9 passer rating...if you didn't watch the clip he did go on to say Dak is the better QB and he would rather have him as your man, but not at 2x the price it will wind up being. There are so many factors that go in to comparing their stats over 6 games, and not a full season
so we are supposed to take Cowturd's words over Aikman...oooookkkkk

but you want Dalton because he has won 4 superbowls...oh, wait...nevermind LOL

and I am so surprised that Indy didn't cut Peyton Manning after his 4th year given he hasn't won a playoff game or a superbowl...the idiots

and NO was so down right stupid for signing Brees....what a bunch of morons.

Yes, all this makes sense. But given that a deal didn’t get done, what gets one done now? Based on your analysis, which I agree with, Dak still isn’t going to get what he wants unless he wants to sign a 3-year deal at 35M. Would anyone sign him to that?
