Isn't Iowa's Daviyon Nixon around the 10 range? That's where Kiper has him.

I would eye him or one of the top two corners, depending on what we do in FA (which if it's the usual will be a whole bunch of nothing).

You don't know almost four months before the draft that there are defensive players worth picking to help the Cowboys.

And NYJ have 2 1sts. They could feasibly just trade Darnold straight up for say a 2nd. Then take Sewell 2. Then draft a QB like Mac Jones with their 2nd 1st. And they still have 2 2nds to play with.

They may yet find a way to screw up another 1st round pick on the wrong QB. Their team is such a mess that if they don't build an OL around whoever the QB is, they will be in this same situation in short order

We won’t have to worry about that. He won’t get past the Lions or Panthers. Not even considering teams that will potentially trade up.

Zack Wilson falling out of the top 5 may not happen...Jets holding all the cards. Question is....What could they get out of Darnold?

Darnold has really improved these last 3-4 games. And that’s saying something. That team is atrocious. Embarrassing. I just wonder if they change their approach and instead of constantly drafting a QB really high who just gets killed, change your philosophy. Draft Sewell 2nd. He’s 19 and the best OT prospect to come out in the last decade. Dominant player. Then take a QB with the 2nd 1st round pic and trade Darnold for a 2nd and use the 2 2’s to build an actual team around these guys.

I think you guys will be surprised at the DL value.
The 6’7” DE from Miami and the athletic freak from Michigan, plus the DT’s from Iowa and Bama have been studs this year with 5-6 sacks each and tackles for loss in the teens. Both are powerful and athletic.
