All we need is a classic Elliott 2 yard run

4 tries from the 7.......and couldn't get it done. Makes me sick we have that little faith in our run game.

thing is we didn't even try, at least first down would have been wise. But ceedee drop was big but not the reason they lost

Yes it was....We abandoned the run game far too quickly....Still....when breaking down tape....I saw Looney get pushed back far too many times when trying to root someone out of the hole. We need help across the board. And I'm not talking about Tyron and Collins being the answers. We need fresh blood.

This is why it was the dumbest play call of the entire season (and that is saying something):
If you look at the possible outcomes of either running or passing:
Best case (depending on you POV) of running the ball: you score a TD. Other Good outcomes of running the ball: You carry for 2-3 yards, keep pressure on Giants D with 3 more chances from within 5 yards.. you make them use a TO. WORST case scenario: They stop zeke at LOS/1 yard loss - they still have to use a TO and you still have 3 more chances from within 10 yards.

Pass play:
Best case of passing: score a TD but you still leave Giants with plenty of time and a TO to score a GF to tie. Other Good outcomes? None.. it was an all or nothing stupid call. WORST case scenario (we saw it play out): They get a sack, get momentum and put the pressure all back on us and take our power running backs out of the game completely.

I mean seriously.. EVEN if we score on that empty set play.. we probably still lose the game/end up in OT. It was just a dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb call,.

yeah I figured at least try a run, make them burn the timeout, and then 3 shots from 3/4 wheel route to Pollard etc

Kellen Moore may be young but I never saw him as being one of those new/innovate offensive minds like McVay or LaFleur. At his core, he still learned from the Garrett/Linehan school. McCarthy does not appear to be much of a different influence either aside from being more of a gambler.

The PR on KMoore is the best sell job I've ever seen. He obviously has the right friends. MM just watches. I'd rather see Barry Switzer at the Pro Bowl.....eating a hot dog.

This game showed the value of run-stopping front four. We can’t say the FO didn’t try to get one as they signed Poe and McCoy but it just didn’t work out and it cost us several games this season. IMO, fixing our from four is too priority, esp since fixing the coaching staff will likely not happen.

The Giants NT, Dalvin Tomlinson, that big boy that punished Connor Williams all day,, I could be wrong but I believe he will be a FA this off season.

Leonard Williams seemed to be pretty disruptive all day also.

He did and is a stud. But he dropped a pass right after on an easy out.

Evan Engram is a pro bowler and that man drops a lot of passes,, everyone drops a pass now and then and Shultz has been a reliable target with good hands all season.
