This whole "tanking" debate can be settled IF the NFL were to take a page from the NBA and have a lottery system set up for the top 10 picks in the first round. The draft order from the 2nd round on can remain the same as it is now, based on the records and SOS.

But having a lottery system for the top 10 picks, while still favoring the team with the worst record, doesn't *guarantee* that team with the worst record the first pick. Which makes sense, given that there are so many years when you've got like four 5-11 teams, each with a legitimate case as to why they should pick higher than the other.

Oh, and if you did a lottery system based on the top 10 picks, that would give Dallas a chance at the top overall pick. What's not to like?

Probably nothing, but an internal notification that they are on watch which will lead to nothing because they won't go gross tank again next year.

Unless Schwartz or some other coach tells the NFL that during the week the coaches got together and decided to throw the game, there is no way to prove anything.

However, had Peterson thown Wentz in there it would have been a slam dunk tanking offense. But that would have been too obvious.
