Dak outplayed Russell in the playoffs. Just saying.
Oh yeah. He isnt a difference maker.
Hows Kaaya?
We had a much much better team than Seattle.

Dak’s ‘jump’ in 2019, was basically schematic as far as Moore goes. The main difference between him and Linehan is that Moore called way more play action off of shotgun. Moore also started throwing more on first down. Of course as the season went on, teams adjusted.

Like I said, Dak’s success is predicated on the established RG of four years. This is why I completely believe Dak getting injured right before the OL completed imploded prevented him from getting exposed. As I stated before, Dak in five games threw more off play action than Andy did in 11 games and by week 11, Andy had the fourth quickest release along all QBs. Moore had to completely adjust the play calling to take into account the fact the OL couldn’t hold.
Anybody that watched the Cleveland game had already begun to see how defenders were keying in on Dak starting down and throwing off his first read in play action, which even “Blogging the Boys” started acknowledging. He should have been intercepted multiple times.
So.... you do understand that the late 90s, early 2000s is the the time frame between Aikman and Romo yes? So, I acknowledge that Aikman's career officially ended in 2000 but it was really over after he was injured in like 98/99. So perhaps there is a bit of a disconnect there. But again, you also understand that mismanagement of the cap, and Aikman's contract (in no small part) was responsible for why we were in the situation we were in the early to mid 2000s right? I mean, you do acknowledge that as fact correct?
2015, what's your beef there? Is it that we didn't have a decent backup to Romo? Well, why is that? Could it be because we were paying Romo and the very same agent that is representing Dak a huge amount of cap and we couldn't afford to bring in a decent Backup for Romo?
What's our beef this year? We had Dak and he got himself injured but he wasn't winning before he went out and the backup, Dalton actually had a higher winning percentage. What is the issue this year?
Yes, I do not trust this brain trust to select a QB because they lucked into the last two.So then, your point is that because the team liked Lynch or Cook, they are not qualified to figure out the QB position, if Dak leaves? Is that the point? That's a serious question because it directly effects my answer here.
The ability of this team to manage the QB position is based on how well the OL plays. That's it, it's not tougher then that. The QB is not the most important part of our Offense. It's the OL and it has been for several seasons. If the OL doesn't play well, then the QB is gonna suck and we've seen that over and over again. For this reason, I don't know that the idea of over extending at QB is wise.
I mean, what are we really talking about here? The team has offered 35 AAV for 5 years. Is that such a bad deal for the body of work we've seen from Dak? When's the last time you've seen an NFL QB get signed to a contract like that for posting a losing record over the past two seasons?
It's a head scratcher to me but whatever......
LOL. So when Dak plays his butt off and does well its the team.We had a much much better team than Seattle.
So did Amari that year.Is it success or volume? I haven't looked at his stats but i'd have to imagine his volume has increased the past couple of seasons.
Also, the more we as him to do the more average we get.
Even in 18 the reason we were so good is because nobody could stop Amari Cooper. Dak sucked before we acquired him.
Sir, I am merely pointing out what a season without a viable starting QB looks like.
Yes, I do not trust this brain trust to select a QB because they lucked into the last two.
I don't know what they offered but the only number that matters is the guarantee. Aikman was signed to a 85.5M contract for 9 years in 99 with a 13M signing bonus. He had a guarantee of 13M. He was cut in 2000.
Cousins is the only player that has had a fully guaranteed contract, 84M for 3 years. If the Cowboys want to simplify this, offer him a 5 year 150M guaranteed contract but they won't do that and the owners are still pissed at MIN for giving Cousins that fully guaranteed contract.
LOL. So when Dak plays his butt off and does well its the team.
When the team loses its Dak?
Your agenda is showing.
Seattle was the best rushing team in the NFL and our defence shut them down. Key word. DEFENCE.
Give Dak a defence we win games. That is very simple and you choose to ignore it in favor of Matt Stafford who just cant win at all. No matter how good the situation is.
But you can claim that everyone but Dak won that game?In 2018, against Seattle, Dallas RG led by Ezekiel Elliott and Linehan’s play calling completely owned the TOP by 10 minutes, to the point the Seattle defense was completely finished. This idea Dak beat Russell Wilson is a completely absurd. 15 of the total 26 touches by Zeke came in the second half.
The final drive, there were 14 total plays and 6 of them were when Zeke touched the ball. Dak THREW four passes and didn’t complete a SINGLE pass and in fact, lucked out on a ticky tack PI call on Beasley that bailed out his third and fourth INC. Dak didn’t complete a single pass.
The sixteen yard run by Dak was a brilliant play call by Linehan, against a weary Seattle Defense that had a wide open hole with Collins running up to the second level, to meet the only defender like ten yards up. That’s how big the hole was... That play was a third and 14, immediately after Dak threw another incomplete, the point being, to claim Dak’s arm beat Seattle is beyond all rational sense.
Next year's cap will probably be tight, but it will explode after this COVID stuff is done and then Dak's contract will be a steal.
Drafting?Give Andy Dalton a defense and we win games.
Why do we need perfection.. How do we get it while paying a good QB great money?
Do we need JErry to give you the pie analogy.
Give Andy Dalton a defense and we win games.
you have a point? that's great news. do share LOLFurther proving my point..
But you can claim that everyone but Dak won that game?
Thats rational. lol.
DAL has a huge financial fustercluck on its hands and making matters even more pathetic is they suck.Well when is that? I mean, when exactly, will the "Covid Stuff" be over? Dak's contract will never be a "steal" because it would kill the cap. I think you also have to consider the fact that NFL teams are spending more then they are making right now, today. The owners are not going to just take that hit and not recoup. They are going to push money out and balance the loss by freezing salary cap or at least holding it down for the next few seasons. So again, how are we going to have a contract that turns out to be a steal if we only have 4 years to work with? Explain how that will work cause I don't see any way that it can.
It's funny actually, I heard the same exact talk about Romo's contract in 2008, except we never got the value out of it. Instead, it was restructured a year early and replaced with another record setting deal. We ended up watching Tony sit out the last two years of his playing career, paying him record money to not play and then being on the hook for dead cap, even after he retired. Yep, same agent, did I mention that? I've seen this movie before.
Drafting?
The only pie here is on your face because you sound like an idiot. Time and again.
Dalton had a good defence and couldnt score against one of the worst teams in the league. Give your head a shake man.
Andy Dalton folded in the biggest game of the season. Yet again.
Just like his playoff record and stats show. He is garbage when the lights are brightest. Let me guess he had a great second half? Thats going to be your rebuttal?
They are garbage time stats man. We lost. Thats my response.
Dak was 22-33 for 226 1 TD and 1 INTI can surely claim Dak’s ARM didn’t win that game. I’m not a Dak-stan who loved to blame Ezekiel Elliott and Linehan for his failures while claiming he was the reason for the win in the Seattle play-off game.
its especially comical when he didn’t complete a single pass on the final drive and Linehan kept feeding the ball to Zeke while throwing in a couple QB draws on a completely worn down defense, meaning Linehan went back to basic 2016 game management Dak mode..
KI only sound like an idiot to you because you aren't paying attention to league trends or even the Romo era.
Like ABQ just said.. We've seen this movie before. We have the answers to the test. Pay attention this time when Jerry does the stupid thing and pays Dak please.
ABQ still has a little faith in the Jones's I think to do the right thing. After Zeke I do not. They are going to lock us down into mediocrity because Dak is a good face for their brand and keeping it relevant. That's all they care about.
Yes he would.
But not playoff games....
