Where’s Cam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman in their prime on this defense?
So predictable.
Hus theory may have been right but hes the wrong person for it. Even with a full offseason it wouldnt have been that much better. And the same easy cover 3 is what Quinn will bring so.......I think with a full offseason Nolan would have been better. His theories about defense being multiple and attacking are much better than the cover 3 crap we saw from Richard. Sam Darnold said it was the easiest defense to pick apart.
What the heck is a one call defense? This has to be a Jones hire.
McCarthy explicitly stated he didn't want a one call defense.
every 20 years or so JJ gets something right lol...is QUINN ? LOLMedia reporting Quinn is the favorite and MM wanted Joe Witt. So here we have Jerry picking the staff again and undermining his HC again if true. We should have a pretty good idea how this ends.

The easy cover 3 is my point. As soon as Darnold said it was easy, that should have been the end of allowing that philosophy anywhere near here. Stop chasing a 2 year wonder. I would have done backflips for Marvin Lewis or Rex Ryan over thisHus theory may have been right but hes the wrong person for it. Even with a full offseason it wouldnt have been that much better. Shouldn't got Marvin Lewis or interview more under the radar types.
Of course we didnt even look at any college guys. LolIn today's NFL as offenses continue to get more creative and explosive and the rules favor the offense over the defense, I think you need more creative coordinators who are willing to take more risk on defense.
Quinn ain't that. He's a re-tread. I mean he's probably better than Nolan but that's not saying much. Would be a typical uninspiring hire by Jerry, but at this point, after witnessing his handling of coaches for the last 20 years, why should I expect anything different?
Chancellor and Sherman were 5th round draft choices. Maybe we can find them in the draft. Earl was a generational safety, so that is another issue.Where’s Cam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman in their prime on this defense?
So is Quinn another in the line of Richard - mostly zone defense, little blitzing relying just on the front four, etc?
Yeah, that doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies
Nope, not buying that. Booger gave him his chance with his staff, now he will have Booger's choice for DC on his staff. And you can bet on Booger's list of requirements was "former HC".
Quinn brings one thing that Booger values highly because he experienced that first hand in college, a coach the players like playing for and will push themselves to please.
all rhetoric and hyperbole doesnt mean that the exact defense hes bringing and different players , different HC etc etc..give it chance before thrashing it..wasted energy predicting failure..Sam Darnold and the Jets destroyed this one call defense. I’m guessing there going to the bend don’t break. Hope to hold to FGs and the offense can win 38-35
Look at his results away from the Legion of Boom. The last 3 years the Falcons opponent QB rating was 25th or worse. 4 years ago it was 19th.all rhetoric and hyperbole doesnt mean that the exact defense hes bringing and different players , different HC etc etc..give it chance before thrashing it..wasted energy predicting failure..
No I can’t. I’m not a football coach. I don’t know how he relates to the players. I have no clue if he’ll be good or not and neither does anyone else here. Except maybe Ranch and a couple other folks who have coached or played at a high level. Can you talk about Quinn and his style of defense?
Or are you back in the mold of "Rockport has to go all stupid again and defend everything the Cowboys do as being great"?
