IF we play an attacking style .. I love the hire.

Thats what I really think. A lot of the coaching staff that was worse than ours were the Jets, Jags, Texans, Falcons, Chargers, and maybe the Bengals (and even then, they won a big game against the Steelers). All of their coaches (minus Bengals) fired their HC mid season/end of the season. They will be moving on to bigger and better things. Us? We keep furthering ourselves down the rabbit hole. We will continue to descend until we reach the core of the Earth.

His credentials are as good as most that were available.
Almost anyone is better than what we had with Nolan and previously with Marinelli's D.
(We could have referred to Marinelli as DU - Defensive Uncoordinator.)
Of course, now we need some blue chip players - the one's that make any DC look good.

Exactly....feels like we just scrapped the bottom of the barrel. I mean honestly.....do you think it was sitting in the back of Jerry's mind when we played the Falcons this year...and that onside kick spun just right for us to recover...that Dan Quinn would be our defensive coordinator just 3 months later?

Come on, man. McCarthy is among the highest tenured coaches in the NFCE. That is fact.

MM is also known for being lazy and having a low football IQ. He didn’t coach an impressive game all year. I honestly think Garrett would have won more games.

I like a lot of things about this team. However, tell me, why should I not be allowed to express my disappointment and discontent with this team? The fact that everyone here puts on fake smiles and optimism with this team knowing good and well with JJ in charge, NOTHING is changing. What good do you see in this hire? What good do you see for this team going into 2021 besides getting Dak back and our always decimated O-line (keep in mind they were 1-3 before Dak got hurt). So what difference will they make?


The fact that everyone here is so “content” is the issue with this team. Everyone is content. Players, coaches, fans, front office, all content with 6-10 because they are “sure” we’ll improve next year, when we’ve continuously gotten worse.

I think we will have to wait for his next team to see how good he is if he gets another chance to be a DC.

I am not content at all, I am not going to bash Jerry and everything else in every post. It does nothing.
If you see a lot of things you like, you never post them. But do as you wish, I know you will continue to do so, and that is ok. as I will also.
I actually like a lot of your posts, I think you have a good sense of humor about things too. but the constant bashing also gets old from every one. just as the rah rah stuff too.

I will criticize and I will praise, but I will not post the same crap over and over in every thread even if it is not the topic.
I take each year separate and do not look in the past, as it means nothing. And look as things will get better. Jerry or no Jerry, what do you really want him to do, fire the coach every year until one wins? Never be allowed to build a team. As that was his huge mistake keeping Garrett, his puppet too long. I do not see MM as that puppet. And he got his own staff showed that right there. Now he needs to get his style players. Can’t happen all at once.

I do not know how I feel about Quinn, but will just wait and see. Will not praise or complain at this point. Heck I am not real happy Moore is still here, but I will accept it, and want the best. I won’t complain until he makes a bone head call in a game.

Many coaches who go from DC to HC fail and it doesn’t mean they’re bad coaches. Quinn coached top 10 defenses at Florida before he went to SEA which we all are aware of his accomplishments there. He did not forget how to coach a defense. This is actually a really good hire and I can’t understand why people wouldn’t like it.
