Philly just trying to hide their true intentions, I bet. If you interview 10 candidates, who's to say which you really want to hire?

Just saying every person interviewed isn't actually being considered for the job...

If kellen wants to interview for that role I’d do everything I could to take back that extension if I were jerry.
Retaliation violates CBA
You can’t stop an OC from interviewing for HC job
Who would ever work for a team that punished a coach for looking for advancement

They are most likely widening their net, due to what I think is a result of the best coaching prospects telling Howie to get bent, they're not interested in his dumpster fire.
Who would want a job when you just fired a pretty successful HC

A one day sleepover can't seal the deal?
You mean an actual vetting process where a wide variety of qualified applicants are screened?
You're not saying the applicants will then be interviewed and the best one chosen based on his meeting the expectations of the owner and General Manager's shared vision for future team success?

Like, that kind of interview process?

Man...

The Cowboys are so out in front on this whole finding the right Head Coach thing.

I mean, it's SO obvious. Geez.

I believe he has the right to refuse for any player under contract. I don't think he will unless Moore asks him to do that. Then again, Booger might ask him to get some inside skinny from Roseman and Lurie.

I don't think the Eagles job is right for Moore.
Can only refuse a lateral move

This move would expose fat Garrett. He doesnt want to run his archaic offense anymore. Such a fraud

Moore isn't a head coach in my eyes. He was smart to not go to Boise State because I'm not sue how that Howdy Doody face would be able to walk into living rooms to recruit.

Likewise, he looks like a 2nd year NFL player on the practice squad right now. LOL

He's the perfect OC. Dak and Zeke rant and rave about his brilliance.

Perhaps the guy should just be what he is. Like Dick LeBeau did.
LeBeau actually tried HC at CIN.

The thing about it is they never damage their career trying a stint at HC and failing. Linehan, Marinelli, Wannstedt, Turner and Phillips are all Cowboys coaches that failed at HC.

He could take the PHL job, get canned in 3 years and land an OC job or still be in line for a college HC job. or even the NFL. Look at Adam Case, he gets fired from MIA for yelling at the owner and gets hired in NY and fired again. Wanna bet another team hires him?

The NFL turns over the HC position between 6-9 times every year and getting fired does not carry the connotation that it does in the business world. Getting fired is an assumption. Belichick, Carroll and Reid got fired. Even Landry got fired. If he'd have been younger, he would have been snatched up quickly.

I think if McVay with his Devo haircut can be taken seriously, Moore would be OK with the players, the question is handling the coaching staff. Can he command the locker room?

I agree with all that, but drawing up cool plays and understanding offense concepts is wildly different than taking on a CEO role over everybody in the locker room.

I actually think he could do it, but not yet.

....that means Moore's stock just went up. So, he could easily call on Jerry for a few more dollars. I personally think, he's not HC material.

WOULDN'T it be epic as HELL if Pederson came to Dallas in SOME CAPACITY, but especially for the OC ROLE?

Yep,
And then Dak gets hurt and Pederson squeeze another miracle SB run out of whoever was Dak's backup at the time after having paid another overpriced contract to Dak.

Absolute karma at its best. :)

Riiiight... I think you people fail to realize that Dak was on pace for ~6,500 yards, ~40 touchdowns, and had a passer rating of 100 this season before he had his ankle snapped in half. You guys really don’t appreciate nice things.
Seems to me he was also on pace to go 4-12. We never know how it would turn out. Hi would Dak have played with the makeshift line no one know or ever will know

I agree, I think he needs some more seasoning and there is that Booger attached to his name where being a great coach is not required, being a cooperative coach is.

I really don't know a lot about him except he is Idaho royalty and Chris Peterson, the coach that put BSU on the map, predicted Moore would be a great coach, not good, great.

But I also heard that about Garrett when he was the backup QB, great football mind. I think some confuse understanding football with creating it. I also think Moore might get some McVay fallout because he was this wunderkind, all 30 something coaches are. McVay is a huge exception and they were smart with surrounding him with his staff.

Is he really a Garrett guy?
I don't think he is a Garrett guy anymore than Prescott was. I think Garrett's idea was to keep Prescott from doing damage and Moore's idea was to use him as a weapon. Moore is very aggressive compared to Garrett, who learned from Turner and run first coaches. Garrett is also protective of young QB's as he has shown in NY. Moore is sink or swim.
