is that he appears to be willing to listen and take advice from all sources. And when he screws up he seems willing to take it. Contrast that to Wentz. Jeff McLane is a plugged in beat writer for them and has a story that paints Wentz as a prima donna and pain the butt.

I linked to the summary from Bleeding Green Nation but the main article linked in the story is from the Philly Inquirer and you may need a subscription to read.

I remember it was either after his rookie season or during it.

During a press conference Pederson was answering a question from the press about Wentz sometimes sailing passes.

Pederson said there was a mechanical issue with his throwing motion that he needed to adjust in order to address the sailing passes.

later during an interview a press member asked Wentz about the mechanical issue and Wentz said “I don’t think it’s a mechanical issue”. Directly denying what Pederson had said was the problem that needed correction.

4 years later. And Wentz is still sailing passes..........

Dak & Wince are no longer comparable. It is actually an insult to Dak to even mention the guys name in the same sentence.....which is why I am about to apologize now for insulting Dak.....

Me too. I was originally on the Wentz was better after his 2017 season but he's spiraled out of control and now with his attitude, it's not even really a comparison at this point.

It will be interesting to see if the benching in Philly and a new coaching staff can "fix" him.

Once you go down the slippery slope of thinking you know better than the coaches, it is tough to come back unless you get a coach who has skins on the wall

Yeah we almost traded back into the first for Lynch...and I was all for it too

Not to toot my own horn but I was never a Lynch guy. Being from Orlando and a follower of the UCF and South Florida programs and the SEC I had gotten to see him a few times. I remember him looking mostly completely overmatched against the SEC teams they played and generally UCF and South Florida made him look pretty ordinary as well. Though to his credit he did get a win against a pretty good Ole Miss his senior year.. but then got spanked by Auburn in the bowl game. He looked like a guy with a big arm but with a long slow throwing motion and even slower set of wheels on him. I fist pumped when somebody else took him that year.. In today's NFL with pass rushers getting faster and faster you have to be a transcendent passer and thinker of the game to survive if you're going to be a statue. Lynch was neither..

Anyone remember the rumblings about the Cowboys wanting Wentz?

Then the Cowboys wanted Paxton Lynch.
Then they wanted Connor Cook.

Then they got stuck with that Dak guy.

Damn did we catch a break....
We caught lightning in a bottle twice. First with Romo and now Dak. How long can the luck last?

It will be interesting to see if the benching in Philly and a new coaching staff can "fix" him.
The new coach will have his hands full.

Beyond attempting to "fix" Carson Wentz on the field, there's the question of whether the QBs fragile ego can handle having a threat at his position on the roster.

Ex-head coach Doug Pederson was the first body to be discarded in the quest to resurrect Wentz.

Will Jalen Hurts be the next?
