Try an MP no nuts....not that you would know anything about 95 Bravo or a DD214 (no, it's not your sister's bra size)....and to compare Romo to Favre is a joke.
so you had responsibility of boiling potatoes for all those soldiers...its a noble job. you helped the military and all the hungry tired soldiers appreciated it...be proud potato man.

Funny thing is, this thread actually points out why we can't pay Dak huge money. We need a D to win in the playoffs, and that's w/ any QB!!!

You know, Dak was a 4th round pick for a reason. Do you understand the amount of personnel, scouts, coaches, GM's and so on, for 32 teams in the NFL that had a look at Dak before he was drafted and he only was a 4th rounder. That's because that is who he is, a 4th rounder that fell into a starting job because of injury to Romo. Did not Parcells say that he could tell if a QB is going to work out after three years? Well, Dak has had 4 so far and...nothing. Now the cat wants to be paid as if he is elite, which he is not. He was picked at that spot for a reason, that is not going to change.
This is so dumb.

Brady is 43 and better than every 1st round draft pick from the entire century of the 1900’s.

FIFY. Romo (14 years front office has wasted) was also ripped away from that NFC championship, by a ref who later claimed "it was a catch"! Yet "Romo never won anything" quotes from some Cowboys fans just show their ignorance/knowledge to the game itself.

The Seahawks would have molested romo in the nfc championship game though

Yep.. but you can pay a QB if he can elevate those around him allowing you to build a defense.

Perhaps it’s time to put up or shut up with the Dak debate. Let’s pay him and see what he can do without an All Pro OL, top 5 paid RB and WR while building and investing in a top defense.

But neglecting our defense while feeling the need to invest in surrounding a QB you’re paying top money isn’t sound team building in Cap era. Time to sink or swim with Dak. Can we trust our dysfunctional organization to let that happen and focus on defense?

In 2019 in our 8 wins we averaged 35 points a game. In our 8 losses we averaged 17 points a game.

Landry once told Lilly” Bob, If we hold them to 17 points we will win 90% of our games”.
I miss those Landry days. Be Good be safe my cowboy brother

I totally disagree. A little extra money that we pay Prescott means nothing in the long run. You just restructure somebody else that’s why we have mathematicians accountants. It’s not as bad as what people seem to think it is. Pay Prescott and we can still win. Micromanagement is the only reason why we’re not winning championships. Until Jerry and Stephen leave it to the people who know what they’re doing we never will.

So continue to kick money down the road on older players to make cap room now? That approach has failed Dallas repeatedly. As for "a little extra money means nothing in the long run".....Dak would count at least $25-$30M against the cap depending on a new contract structure whereas a rookie QB taken in the #6-#10 range of the 1st round would count about $5M against the cap.....so that extra $20-$30M would go a long way to improving the team.

We can actually pay Dak.

But in order to build the defense we may not be able to surround Dak offensively with as many weapons. Which if Dak is the top 10 or Elite QB many claim we should be ok as Dak elevates those around him.

The fans arguing against paying Dak don’t feel he has that ability to elevate those around him. And needing all of the supporting cast on offense aren’t able to invest on defense.
