What's interesting is both teams are in a win-now mode........not sure how interest they have drafting and developing a rookie.

I think the Saints have two current options. And they seem to have groomed Hill as Brees’ successor.

Wentz is staying in Philly due to his contract situation. I think Dallas should allow Dak to sign with Indy and recoup the 2 1st round draft picks (clearly Indy isn't afraid to trade them given they traded a 1st for DT DeForest Buckner).

You do understand you're saying Dak is worth two 1st picks but he's NOT good enough to start for the Cowboys????

Sad for Brees that his last game was such a fiasco

Agreed. But the signs were there for the last couple of years. He began to throw more poor passes, began to be more of a mid-range passer and of course began to get hurt. Most glaringly his playoff stats began to slip, despite having Kamara emerging as a strong run threat, which should have made his passing life easier.

Should have retired last year at the latest....

Agreed. He knee capped an otherwise good team like Large Benjamin over in Pittsburgh.

I don't think Wentz is going anywhere. The owner chose him over Pederson.

Dak isn't going anywhere, either. Jerry would cave before he lets that happen.

Winston will replace Brees, with a side of Payton's pet Taysom Hill.
I think you are correct on all accounts - was thinking the same thing about New Orleans. Winston could be a very good QB if someone could reign in his wild side. (in that I mean carelessness with the ball) Peyton can probably do so

I always wanted the Cowboys to draft Brees and then sign him when he was available.....and always thought Rivers was an underrated Qb playing in San Diego....
I remember watching him at the SR bowl with his wild throwing motion
Very under rated playee

Wow.

I suspected both might retire but it’s big to see both at the same time.

Truly the end of a era and changing of the guard.

With Rivers retirement I have to wonder about Wentz to the Colts.

Even after the Eagles actually fired a Super Bowl winning HC supposedly for the sake of Wentz ?
Pederson's departure changed the dynamics. And that's why I'm not taking Bones Fassell as HC seriously.
i'd think they'd want a HC with very strong QB -offensive mind to accommodate Wentz. (ala Kellen, Josh Daniels)
If Pederson were staying, then I could easily see a Wentz trade ,..but now ?

Who would that be?
There's the draft or they could trade for Wentz without having to give up two 1st round draft picks. Reich had great success with him before. They might want Prescott but surely they wouldn't give up two first round draft picks for him - who would?

Saints aren’t going to be as good next year. They are 100 mill over the cap (I don’t think Brees retiring helps any of that). But they’ll rebuild quickly but should lose several key cogs this offseason
