Ar'Darius Washington TCU Safety

He is 5'08" some say a little shorter than 5'08" and Brugler said he can't put someone with that lack of size in his top 100. He did say Washington had good reactions and movement but at 5'08" (5'07" 3/4) he just could not put him in that top 100
Thank you for the elaboration as I hadn't heard his full comments and yes makes total sense.

What about if he was 5'4" would that be OK? I mean you gotta set a bar somewhere right?

I think he is a slot corner type. Possible a good one but those are easier to find than outside CBs or Single high safeties.
As a single high I'd be worried about big WR's on post patterns high pointing him.
But hey maybe he has a 47" vertical.
Let's see the testing results.

I have Cowboys app on my firestick and was watching last night on Cowboys draft show. Brugler did mention he could see Washington as a nickel player at corner. One thing I liked about watching the show, none of the guys were slamming him and talked of his positives but the negative in their view was big enough to knock him down in the draft. One thing for sure all said Cowboys do not need to invest in another in the box safety, they need FS. I agree

Is he really 5'7 3/4th? Damn

I mean, like i said in another thread, all these dudes are the same. Get alot right get alot wrong. No different than actual scouts. There were a good handful of players last year who were constantly mocked out of round 1 but were drafted round 1.
Not sure what the point of this comment was... if you are indicating Dane Brugler and Jeff C are the same level scout you are badly mistaken.
If you just really like this player, OK.
If you want to debate any aspect of his play, OK.

I personally do not see a 179 pound safety starting in the NFL. I certainly could be wrong but very much understand why Dane doesn't rate him a day 2 Round 2 or 3 guy.
Round 4 or 5 seems more appropriate to me but it;s hard to say if you haven't watched 250+ guys. Dane has, but very few other will.

I watched that yesterday streaming but I was working and it played without me hearing 90% of it, lol.
Thanks for the nudge, I'll go back and re-watch now that it's quiet on the work front. --knock on wood.

I dont believe a 179 pound safety can play either.....i just dont know if that will be his weight. If it is then ok. If hes 185 or more i may double take.

As far as brugler. You could probably come up with a big board as well as he could. Just my opinion

He is at least crazy strong. Here is a snippet from The Athletic: The 5-8, 179-pound safety bench presses more than double his weight (370) and squats more than triple it (640). He also cleans 370 pounds and makes up for his lack of height with a 39-inch vertical.
