Congratulations Matt Stafford for getting out of Detroit! Best spots for Stafford to land:
1) Colts - good OL, Top RB, decent WRs
2) WFT - emerging RB, good WR1, TE
3) Bears - 2 revenge games a year
4) Patriots - on the decline?
5) Panthers - not ready to win
.
One note is, if Stafford goes to a team with WR issues both his former starting WRs are on the market. Example: A team like WFT getting Stafford and Kenny Golladay to pair with McLaurin. Or Marvin Jones Jr. with T.Y. n Pittman Jr. in Indianapolis.

I always like Stafford. I dont know how much Detroits failures are on him though. At 32 years old he's certainly not a replacement for Dak so let's not go there. Lol

The Lions have to feel that some of their failures are on Stafford or they wouldn’t be moving on. It’s not like they currently have a better option. When you keep spinning your wheels with a QB year after year there comes a point when you have to try someone else. Stafford was given plenty of time in Detroit, he had 12 seasons. He’s no scrub, he’s capable of some outstanding games but he’s been inconsistent. His leadership skills are questionable in my opinion. He’s never been able to elevate his teams. He’s not one of those QBs that makes everyone better around him.

He can’t possibly be serious or he’s completely lost it. Lol No one is going to trade for Stafford he’s going to be released.
You know some desperate team will over pay. That is why Dak would get us two first round picks if we decided to non exclusive tag him.

Many speculate that it was his agent who was shopping around his clients to various agencies. All his high profiled clients played on the tag last year. I think he gets franchised again, but they strike a deal the hour prior to the deadline.

No way in hell I'd play it that close......in fact, I'm settling this once and for BEFORE the draft. If you wait until after the draft most, if not all, QB needed team would have their guy. Meaning a trade becomes that much harder. Now fast forward to the July 15 deadline to either sign the tag or wait until after the 2021 season. Knowing we will NOT tag him a 3rd time ( $55M) our leverage goes to zero coz at that time Dak and his will/can simply either pay me what I want or I walk and you get ZERO compensation.

If his agent continuing to play hardball, IMO you have to trade him before the draft. Get what you can and draft his replacement.

I say trade for Stafford, and Watson, and keep Dak.

All three could be in the backfield and the defense won't know who the ball is going to be snapped to!
Get Stafford n his existing deal and get a pick for Dak.
Stafford has some of the best arm talent in the league, more accurate than Dak and will be cheaper with more to prove.
Don’t do the stupid thing and sign Dak.

Its all about money. I have read that Stafford's cap hit for the next two years for a team trading for him will be a little over $20m. Rumors have Dak around $40m.

I'm not sure that there are any cowboy fans that would turn down Dak at $20m per year.

Trading 10 for Stafford is nuts though.
The same people complaining about Dak at 40 million per year didn’t want him when he was making roughly 1.5 % of that and won a playoff game.

To be fair however it’s just a vocal minority of romo sexuals who cried when he lost his job

If you're about to say he is an upgrade over Dak, you are wrong.
He is an upgrade over Dak. Better arm, 1 overall talent. I want Stafford or Jameis. Take top tier talent, take a distressed asset when other dumb teams give up on them.

Dak was rated the #2 deep ball passer the last two years. Above Mahomes, Rodgers, and nearly tying Russel Wilson. While Stafford has a career completion percentage an entire 5% below Prescott despite having megatron for a few years.

Try waving your pom poms less and focus on the game more, cheerleader.

I don’t see anyone over paying him it’s not like he has a great track record with an impressive playoff résumé. Besides this is supposed to be a pretty strong QB draft. Teams that need a good experienced bandaid at QB will be interested. Dak will not get a non exclusive tag we can’t afford to lose him. A team would pay through the nose for him. Stafford would never command near the kind of money Dak is in line for.

The cowboys won’t be making an offer to acquire Stanford . Jerry wants to be politically correct and keep Dak at any cost . Expect Jerry to announce a Dak contract 38-40 mil a year range , 5 years , 120+ Mil guaranteed. After which the cowboys will continued the mediocrity .

Martin Mayhew drafted Stafford and I can see him trading the 19th pick and possibly another pick to get Stafford to Washington. He only has two years and approximately $43M left on his deal. Cheap for a durable high caliber signal caller. Washington would be really tough to beat with Stafford.

9ers and Colts make sense too.

Matt Stafford is damaged goods. He's worth a top 4 round pick right now. He's entering his 13th year and has never won a playoff game and he's lost 90 games as a starter. If you are looking to replace Dak with him you are crazy. He may be a good backup for Dak though.

hum, so Stafford isn't getting the Dak excuses. The coaches, gm, defense, offensive line lost all the games, it wasn't on Stafford, or is this a Dak thing where he gets all the excuses and the other quarterbacks get the losses.
