Dak Record as Dallas QB by Year

2016: 13-3 0-1 in playoffs
2017: 9-7
2018: 10-6 1-1 in playoffs
2019: 8-8
2020: 2-3

Yeah, that is a lot of elevating going on right there.

Lol did you see what happened without him?

I mean, the one time he was injured, our offense grinded to a halt and we endured the most embarrassing season since the one that led to us drafting Dak in the first place, so...

2020 Dallas Cowboys Record...

...with Prescott 2-3
....with Dalton 4-5
...with Danucci 0-1
....with Gilbert 0-1

So based on win % Dalton did better than Dak with the most embarrassing season.

He got to compete against the likes of Brandon Allen, so not exactly apples and apples here.

Like, how much spinning do you have to do for yourself to have endured that shitshow last year and somehow come away with the idea that Dalton was better than Dak?

Now, that's going out on a limb! It'll be beyond interesting to see if that trade gets them to a Super Bowl -- they'd better hope it does! :omg:

Statistics said Dalton won at a better rate than Dak. Did I say Dalton was better than Dak? No. I simply am pointing out the fact that what is the point paying Dak a huge contract if his "passing records" can't elevate the team?

Ok cool. I get it. Now that Dak has established himself as the prolific passer you all said he would never become, what really matters is the team's overall record. A number that meant diddly squat to all of you when Dak had one of the winningest records among starting QBs but didn't have the prolific passing numbers.

I can't recall another time two starting quarterbacks were traded for each other since way back to my first full year watching in 1972 when Fran Tarkenton was traded for Norm Snead. Have there been any other cases of this in between these?

Last time I checked winning is what QB's are paid to do, not just put up personal stats. I think most on here would agree that if Dak passed for 200 yards a game but Dallas was winning and getting deep into the playoffs then pay Dak.....but to put up personal stats while the team loses then why pay him?
