Not sure how (or WHY lol) any Cowboys fan would even debate this at this point...

You see how we still suck with Dak and teams who just signed their guys are regretting those deals?

You see how Dalton wins games at the same rate for much cheaper?

Jared Goff isn’t a bust either.. Watson isn’t a bust at all.

Apples and oranges.

The original post is simply a comparison of the careers of the QBs taken in the 2016 draft. At this point-- it's clear that Dak has been the most complete, consistent, and productive QB of the draft class. If you want to debate-- at least stick with the original contention.

You are making an argument based on value vs production at the QB position. That is determined by the current market for franchise QBs. Saying Dak isn't worth the money does not mean he isn't the most accomplished QB of his draft class.

Super scary thinking about it now!

Yet, many here want to trade Dak and allow Jerry & Son to try their luck choosing a new QB in the Draft once again?
I might sound crazy but I Paxton Lynch would have been ok here. I don’t think he would have been as good as Dak but maybe at Daniel Jones level. Basically he would have taken the hometown discount two years ago and Cowboys Zone would have gone mad.:lmao2:

Pay an average QB like Dak, you'll have a Goff/Wentz situation a couple years later. He's Goff without the accuracy, just not very good.

So, are some fans wanting Dak to get this massive deal because he can actually be a difference maker like Mahomes, or is it only because they like him?

This isn't a popularity contest. Dak is a decent QB, but its highly unlikely he is playing in the super bowl next week if he were on KC's roster instead of Mahomes. Dak just doesn't have that kind of talent and can't take the game over like Mahomes does.

If I'm paying a QB I'm paying him because I have confidence he can get me to the championship level and Dak just isn't that person. Jerry is only interested in staying relevant and interesting, and that is exactly what he is going to get by giving in to Dak's demands.

Are you arguing that Goff and Wentz should have been paid? And Dak SHOULDN’T?!

Nah bro. Hate the game. Not the player.

Those other cats cashed in, and aren’t as accomplished as Dak. Dak is justified in seeking market compensation. You may not like what the QB market is— and you are entitled to your opinion on whether or not you want us to sign Dak— but he is clearly the best QB in his class, and it’s not even close at this point
