Just curious and I’m a dak supporter but taking a pulse of the fan base here say Rodgers was a free agent and could be had for 3 years vs dak at 4-5 with less guaranteed- who would u take

This message board kills more brain cells than alcohol and drugs combined.

not sure why that’s necessary, It’s a pretty straight forward question? and it’s the offseason and our guy is still not signed long term, while a 43 year old qb just went on the free agent market and won a Super Bowl in his 1st year with a new team.

curious to the thought process here so it’s pretty relevant considering Rodgers is a league mvp and playing at an elite level and dak has shown he can be elite too.

the only brain cells killed here was your infantile, brief, lame reply

This is like saying would you rather have a Viper for 3 years or a mustang/vette/challenger/charger/prius for 4...(I kid about the prius)

This has been discussed ad nauseam with almost every QB in the league for the past 5 years. It’s beyond a dead horse.

well considering 5 years ago dak was a rookie and Rodgers was 32 I’d say that would be a no brainer back then genius....considering dak is A) looking at his 2nd franchise tag and B) we had a an older QB just win a Super Bowl off a free agency signing with a new team I’d say what was discussed 5 years ago “ad nauseam” is pretty irrelevant.

It is a hypothetical with no right or wrong answer that will solicit the same sharks repeating the same biased agendas. Don’t worry, there will literally be hundreds of other posts with the same people making the same comments they have made for the past 5 years.

Here, let me repeat myself about Rodgers. If the team weren’t idiots they would have drafted him instead of sticking with geriatric QBs and a Rudy named Romo. I firmly believe we wound have at least 2 more SBs and probably 3 if we did but we like to take crappy QBs who overachieve rather than spend draft capital on a stud.

That said, I just counted there are 15 Dak-related threads on the first page of the message board alone.

If Dak was only going to play 4 more years I would lean towards Rodgers in this scenario. However Dak is more likely to play 12 more years and that tips the scales. I would also point out how bad Rodgers looked when the Bucs were able to get consistent pressure on him in both meetings this year. He's not nearly the athlete he once was. Behind our line he would be in doo deep deep..

This will sound odd coming from me, but you can keep Rodgers. One of the all time over rated players in league history IMO. Right behind Brett Favre. Greatest regular season QB of all time. Did he win league MVP? This will mark the second time he's hanging up that plaque while watching the SB.

Chad Hutchinson never had a team. Jerry wasted his career.

McCarthy and Rodgers will never be coach and QB on the same team again. I much rather have McCarthy than Rodgers.

Tampa Bay won the superbowl tonight because QB was their problem. Dallas problem isn't QB it's defense.

Even if Dallas had gotten Brady they wouldn't have made the superbowl, much less won it. They just gave up 9 points to the Chiefs....... you think Dallas would have held them to 9 points in a quarter much less the entire game.

The OP left out a caveat. If you pick Dak, you get Vince Lombardi in his coaching prime but he’s only two feet tall.

I would take 3 years of Rogers over 5 years of Dak. At least you have a high probability of winning 2 superbowls not just because of how good Rogers is but because of how some other players would follow him here. Jerry Jones wouldn't know what do do with a QB of that skill level. Dak is good don't get me wrong I like good that's mediocre. I would like to have a great QB just once since Aikman.
