This wasn't a mistake. You don't run a multi-million dollar corporation, release information to the public and not include the owner, ESPECIALLY when the owner is as hands-on as Jerry Jones is. Everything gets run through the owner, CEO, president, ESPECIALLY information that goes to out to the public and can reflect negatively on the company.

Uh, no. People get fired for that. That's the one thing a PR person DOES NOT FORGET!!!!

To believe that Jerry Jones or Stephen Jones was not shown a hype video about the Dallas Cowboys, and the media department simply released it without showing the owners?

Yeah. And I have beach front property on the moon I'd like to show you.

What about Jerry's own grandson (the one that got Jerry to draft CreDee Lamb) liking a comment saying we should let Dak go on Instagram lol

I know, i know.. It was an accident too.

I love the Cowboys. I have rooted for them my whole life. If we let go of Dak...or if Dak wants to leave, I'll still root for them. But, I think that it would be a big mistake for us to let him go.

It's so hard to find a good QB. How many teams have been without one for years...years? Washington hasn't had a good QB since....well....I can't remember when they had a good QB (Rypien?).

We have lucked into two very good QBs in a row. You can't let them go.....

I'm just curious why or what the team is trying to hype. Are they trying to hype a losing record? A miserable front office? A mediocre coaching staff? A sketchy roster? The last of 25 years of futility? Just what are they trying to hype?
Maybe a miserable fan base? Asking for a friend.

Lol. I just watched it.

It's amazing how everything is placed under an extreme microscope nowadays.
This is nothing. Nothing.

Silly stuff.

Boy! I'm glad my social media presence has been about nil in the entirety of the internet.

Just a festering ground for bottom-feeders looking for trouble.

You know nothing about my professional experience. You may know how things worked at the company where you were in public relations but have absolutely no idea how the Cowboys and in particular Jerry Jones handle these promotional videos off at all. So don’t act like you do.

First of all, I said nothing about YOUR professional experience. I said insight comes with PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE because you sought to challenge mine.

Second, no, I know things about other companies too because I belong to PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS for PR and journalism. And at PROFESSIONAL MEETINGS we talk about these issues and professional standards.

Yes, I AM going to act like I know, more so than you. I was in the field of journalism and PR for nearly 30 years. I have insight that you don't. And, working for a major corporation and knowing the egos CEOs, Presidents and Owners possess, ESPECIALLY when they're trying to protect their public reputation, I have a better-than-very-good guess that company information doesn't go out to the public unless they review it.

Anyone who has been in public relations on a major level can tell you this.

I'm sorry if that interferes or disrupts your love relationship with all things Cowboys, but it is what it is.

I can almost GUARANTEE you that Jerry Jones or Stephen Jones (one of the two) saw that video before it was released. I can also almost guarantee you that no LOWER LEVEL PR person would have released that video to the public WITHOUT Jerry or Stephen seeing it.

That's just not how it works. This I can tell you from experience.

Take it or leave it, but, of course, I know what option you will choose because you fall into the convenient trap of experience too. ;)

Here’s your quote:
Some of us have insight that others do not have. It's called PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. I can't help it if you don't have it. :)
And you still have NO CLUE how the Cowboys organization and specifically Jerry Jones vettes these videos if he does at all. You can say it to you’re blue in the face but unless you worked in public relations for the Cowboys YOU HAVE NO CLUE.

Eh... I doubt they were trying to send Dak a message. It's not even a message.

I'm relating that to experience in PR. So do you have years of experience in PR? At a corporate level? For a major company?

If you do, I'll apologize.

Second, YES, I DO have a clue. That's why I'm providing my input based on my experience in corporate PR for a major company.

I've been around men who make eight figures and famous people. Most of them have egos. And the successful ones micro manage, PARTICULARLY their public image. That I know.

Third, if you're going to argue I have no clue, then why should we listen to ANYTHING you say about Dak or the Cowboys?
You don't work for the Cowboys. You don't know any more than the man off the street.

Furthermore, why are you always running to former Cowboys who CONFIRM your affinity for Dak as if they know? However, when a former player says something against Dak, you're quick to say, "They don't know. They're not current Cowboys".

The FACT is that people more connected to how systems operate and connected to the people who run those systems or abide by the universal structure embedded in those systems have more insight than those who don't.

My insight comes from experience. Unless you want to match your experience in the same field with mine, mine is called an EDUCATED insight. Your is an UNEDUCATED insight. :)

P.S., lest you feel I'm insulting your intelligence (as you previously did), I'm speaking within the field of corporate PR.

You have more knowledge about the military than I do. I would never try to challenge your insight there because you participated in the military. I have not. So your INSIGHT in that area is more knowledgeable and educated than mine.

Everyone has his field of knowledge. In this case, my knowledge about PR trumps yours because I've been in corporate PR, actually wrote my president's speeches for the company newsletters. I would NEVER release a speech to the public sans his approval. Never.

There is a miniscule chance this was an oversight and if it was it’s a pretty clear example of that department just failing miserably at their core job

I’m not buying it.

It doesn’t mean Jerry called down and said “we’re not signing Dak, Deshaun trade on the way”

It does mean someone made a decision to exclude him because there is concern he *might* not be back

Exactly, I’m not buying the oversight argument. That was done purposely. The dumb part is they thought no one would notice.

For the record, I don't think it's a big deal.
But if this were produced by the Cowboys, Jerry or Stephen saw it.
I'd bet my paycheck on it.

One question? Did the employees work for the Dallas Cowboys?
You tell me. Did they outsource any of it? I certainly don't know. I don't work for the company.

Maybe they did and they have autonomous ability to produce what they think is good enough.
This isn't some sort of tribute, or a real something that affects anything as far as advertising the product.

It's a teaser using multiple generations of Cowboys. I didn't see Romo either.

It's a big whatever to me and yes, I worked and work in the business, although now I'm just a teller of tales.
