I see everyone talking about CB and S...call me old school, but the front 7 will ALWAYS come before those positions. Doesn't matter how good your coverage is, if you can't get to the QB the offense will always win. It doesn't get talked about enough how the Cowboys were bottom 3rd in the NFL last year at pressuring the QB. Combine that with 2nd worst run D in the league and I think Stevie Wonder could find the weakness of our D...

3 QB's go top 9 and teams will be desperate to get the 4th best...Washington trades picks 19 and 51 for 10 and 4th round comp pick.

19- Kwity Paye, DE Michigan- Big frame, heavy hands, and explosive quickness will be a good fit for Quinn's scheme. Will provide an immediate impact in both the run and pass game.

44- Nick Bolton, LB Mizzu- High intensity player that plays like he's shot out of a cannon. Disruptive and always around the ball, but also comfortable dropping back in zone.

51- Jay Tufele, DT USC- Big body with a nice combo of power and quickness. Has the ability to shoot gaps and get in the backfield and can hold his own and not get washed out in the run game.

75- Paulson Adebo, CB Stanford- Between a deep draft class at CB and the fact that he sat out 2020 Adebo could get pushed down the board as a serious value pick if he makes it here. Good size and great feet to go with solid ball skills. Adebo/Newsome/Wade/Stokes...I'm expecting 1 to fall and present good value in the 3rd at CB.

3rd Comp- Hamsah Nasirildeen, S Florida St- Huge S with good athleticism and not afraid to get physical. Consistency and health are concerns, but if there's 1 thing I feel good about with Dan Quinn is how to get the most out of big physical athletes in the secondary. Sky is the limit for this kid.

105- Tommy Doyle OT, Miami Oh- Gigantic man (6'7 330) with surprisingly decent feet and playing experience at both LT and RT. Potential upside to develop

Trading back would be a great option if we can get Dak signed; however, if he is tagged again then I think we might have to be ready to move up to get a QB.

They will have until July to sign Dak. WAY after the draft.

I just thought that we are sitting at 10 with a good chance to move on one of the top QB’s in this years draft. Why wait? Dak agent will have all the leverage with a $52 million tag for 2022.

If a qb or one of the top wide outs is there id try to trade back with the 9Ers or the Patriots for their 1st and 2nd pick.

Where’s our NT? Paye offers nothing as a pass rusher-hard pass

Zero pass rush is just a horrific take. Just because he didn’t line up wide and rush like most DE’s doesn’t mean he can’t rush the passer. He has elite 1st step explosiveness and has heavy hands he uses extremely well. And there is tape of him turning the corner and getting to the qb, he just wasn’t given the opportunity to do it consistently.

Never draft a Michigan defensive lineman in the first round if you are the Cowboys. I am still suffering over Kevin Brooks, a huge, monster bust #1 in 1985, who sealed Landry and Brandt's fates, as well as Taco Charlton, who took his deal with Taco Bell and forgot he was a football player, showing no desire to play.

Paye is simply a high run defender and a raw, developmental pass rusher at this juncture. Yes, he has elite, athletic traits, but is hasn't translated onto the field against the pass. I am not taking a player in the top 20, hoping he can develop as a pass rusher.

Why are we giving up a comp pick in this deal? If they want to move up, they can do it without anything more than #10 from us.
Not interested in Paye at all. He does very little of anything that makes you excited to draft him in rd 1.
Happy with Bolton and Tufele. Safeties aren't anything to get excited about either.

Agreed, we've had enough of "project" players, a first rounder should be an immediate starter, if you have multiple needs, which the Cowboys do...
