If there was a professional flag football league, would anyone watch?
I think I would give it a chance.

IMHO, the vast majority of the rumors and inside info that we’re enduring right now are manufactured drama to affect contract negotiations and generate intere$t in a sport that’s declining.

If EVER I could attain time travel, I’d fast forward 10 weeks, simply to end this MEGA-TIRESOME, supremely epic nightmare of uncertainty, eyerolling speculation, and useless disagreements.

I love to talk Cowboys, but I’d really like to see enough resolution to just be able to relax a little, ya know?
:bow: You pretty much nailed it. :hammer::hammer:
But the NFL is far, far from declining.

Casual fans usually don't really follow along much this time of year so I don't think anyone fabricating rumors is really going to boost interest in any significant way.

Also, is football declining? I know the Super Bowl had low ratings but it was a rather boring game overall. Add in the issues with Covid and Tom Brady being in yet another Super Bowl and I can see reasons for low ratings.

I can't tell you if it's in a decline. But it wouldn't surprise me. It's not like the game is getting more exciting. As far as it being a boring SB, how do you know it's boring unless you tune in to watch? As far as Covid is concerned, you would think that would get more people to watch, not less.

Lol... I don't doubt your sincerity at all CC (pretty sure you've made this same statement countless times as ONE OF US), but my cynical humor says, "Look at the mod shilling for the bossman."
I am still ONE OF YOU. I will always be ONE OF YOU, God help me. Hey, I was the Grand Poobah of the PostJackersGuild at one time!!!

Like I try to tell y'all, just think of me as Evil Roy Slade, I am trying to go legit. But I know how y'all hate a reformed criminal.

The Grand Poobah is still recognized as the ultimate honor of online irrelevance and nonsensical Tom Foolery! “CZ Mod” is a complimentary designation! It’s like The Pope joining the Elks or Moose!

ES, while I agree I also accept the fact that their prime target audience is right here. We give legs to any rumor about the Cowboys, even if it's to call it out.

We are not just a discussion group, we are a gossip group as well and that's OK, even those that doth protest too much eat it up. It is cheap entertainment and we get to participate in it ourselves.

Hell, if we could all get together, we could quilt while we do this.
I’m not sure what’s worse , the whiners or whining about the whiners. Lol

Instead, why not start a thread on what you’d like to discuss. Just a thought ...

CBS got $.5B in ad revenue for the SB. It was the lowest watched SB since 2006 even when adding in the record number of people streaming. The large number of streamers sounds encouraging but it is like growth rates early in something. Streaming doesn’t bring in the revenue like tv does, yet.

Hard to make sense of what is going on.

I can watch any game I want for free online. Any game. I use a burner cheap computer to stream from Europe in case of a virus. Same computer I use to get free songs from YouTube - mp3 converting from audio.

NFL owners have worries. Tv viewers are declining. Streamers increasing but not much revenue there yet, I think. Red zone is better than any game. Tv networks don’t like that. Teams lost on average $180-200M this year. 2021 not looking good. Do fans really want to spend a couple hundred dollars in person rather than sitting at home for free. Average age of NFL viewers is in the 50s. That coveted age bracket of 18-29 is not there for the advertisers. College football is more exciting than the NFL.

I dont know what your age is, but I see it from my generational perspective.
My Children dont respect the game
My Grandchildren have little if no interest.
They only have interest because of my interest,, and this is very alarming to me.

I can't recall knowing anyone since 2010 under the age of 21 who is an NFL fan. The NFL is the WWE 30 years ago before its decline with steroids, contrived drama, bad actors, gullible fans and greed.
