Just a few guys I haven't seen talked about a whole lot...feel free to add your own.

Tommy Togiai, DT Ohio St- Doesn't have ideal height or length put he's a stout powerful guy that can get out of his stance with burst. Strong run stuffer with above average pass rushing traits, exactly what we need.

Payton Turner, DE Houston- 6'6 270 with a gigantic 84" wingspan. Strong side edge defender that is stout against the run but also adds surprising athleticism and pass rush traits. Played at 290 as a DT early in college career so the ability to kick inside is there, plus the fact that he still has room to develop as an edge rusher with experience.

Jamin Davis ILB Kentucky- 6'4 235 LB with impressive athletic ability. Only 11 career starts so there is for sure risk here, but the upside is huge. He plays like a big safety that likes physicality and tackles well.

Elijah Molden S/CB Washington- This might be my favorite DB in the entire class. This kid is just a baller. I think his best position will be FS, but wouldn't shock me if he ends up being a pro bowl CB either. Instinctive, tough, athletic, and has a nose for the ball...his tape shows a 1st round pick, but at 5'10 190 and 4.5 speed he'll end up falling and I'd be happy with him in the 2nd.

Outside of Davis, these prospects have been discussed. Turner is an excellent Crawford replacement as an inside/outside lineman. Molden is the best slot corner in the entire draft.

Sorry, wouldn’t want to stop the constant stream of absurd sim mocks with actual player discussion

Like for starters...I think calling Molden only a slot corner is a disservice. He can do a lot more than that. The nfl profile comparison of Mathieu is obviously very high praise, but I don’t think it’s too crazy. He can do a bit of everything and has a nose for the ball to create turnovers. Having a S that can cover like Molden also helps the team stay in base more...which will help the run D.

I hope we target him in the 2nd

I see more of a free safety who can cover most slot receivers
If he can be a solid FS and cover the slot you got a steal
I like him as a FS a lot

Out of that list, I particularly like Molden. The guy is just a good football player, a couple of inches of height be damned. And I do think he’d be a very good FS. His versatility would be a real plus.

His play reminds me a little of Budda Baker, and not just because of the school. They have similar instincts for DB.

Dayo Odeyingbo, DE Vandy- This is a tough 1 because he tore his Achilles preparing for the Sr bowl so will most likely be looking at a redshirt year. I know injured players are a sore spot, but if he falls far enough I'd definitely take the chance. 6'6 275 with quickness and more pass rush moves and bend that you'd expect. Another fit for a strong side end that brings pass rush and can also kick inside.

I really like Turner and Davis. I think Davis is going to be a really good fit, given his agility, size, speed, he is a hybrid coverage saftey/LB type that can provide some run support on the edge. would love to get Davis in lower rounds...

Turner seems like a monster waiting to be built....that wing span, size of hands should give him some power off the edge....

Togiai seems undersized for DT, perhaps he is a 3T? not sure.

Jamar Johnson, S Indiana- Hard to even find a website with a writeup on this 1, but following Dane Brugler's twitter turned me onto Johnson. And so far what I've been able to watch I see a big time playmaker. Last 20 games at Indiana- 50 solo tackles, 8 TFL, 7 INT, 2 FF, 5 PD's, 1 TD. Appears to have necessary athleticism of the ball hawk safety that can handle 1 on 1 coverage when need be. Not going to be a big hitter but doesn't shy away from contact either, will need to add some NFL muscle though.

Where is Darrius Stills, there’s a couple articles saying he’s a 2nd or 3rd round 3tech when the season 1st ended and nothing. Can’t find him in the top ten at the position on anyone’s board! Where’s he being projected?

Achilles is a horrible injury. I would scratch him off. The players never the same. Kevin Smith was never the same player for us. Possibly a O linemen or a Defensive tackle could survive, but position for speed almost never the same.

One thing that surprises me is how little talk I see for Rondale Moore. Not for us, but in comparison to the likes of Toney. I think he's actually under the radar, relative to his talent.

I also like Jaelen Darden

Fair enough.

Molden plays like a rover nickel player. Yes, like of like Mathieu, but they are more slot corner types then they are single high safeties which we need for this defense. Good player, but I wonder if this team will be interested as he lacks the elite, physical traits. He is more of a mid day 2 pick, probably early rd 3.
