What would you give up for Wilson?

Who cuts a Qb who just won a super bowl? So, they rolled the dice that Wilson could win with less and lost. The smart team learns from the error and moves on.

We have a better defense than Seattle? If Wilson can't win there, he's not going to win here either.

Wilson hasn't bad much on offense over the years, either the oline or the WRs, though it does go up and down.

Any team trading for Wilson is getting a great deal in terms of contract for the next three seasons.

For the team that picks him up, his contract is 15mil/yr or so under market. Great deal, but the hypothetical draft haul is just way too much for a team like the Cowboys who need so much.

Wilson has never missed a game. Always produces. 500+ rushing yards at 32. Pro Bowl 7/9 years. The guy is a machine.

I think its the natural attrition that occurs when you have to go cheaper at skill positions b/c your QB is making 20% of the salary cap. We've seen it in LA after the Goff deal and Philly after the Wentz deal. Mahomes gave KC a sweetheart deal. The full brunt of his massive deal doesn't hit them until year 3. So for all those looking at Mahomes contract and thinking "hey it worked in KC", think again.

What's the best offer you'd send to the Seahawks.

I like Dak a lot, but Wilson is a natural born winner. I'd give up the house for him. He can carry this team with a solid oline, Zeke, Cooper, Gallup and Lamb.

no phreaking way that insane dude!!

sure Wilsons worth more then dak so only one trade id do

RW for Dak and this years 10..that it..anything more at RW age and our needs on defense etc, it would be counters productive to make the trade..rather trade dak for two firsts somewhere else pick a qb at 10 and use the extra picks for defense..

Nothing. He won a super bowl on his rookie deal b/c Seattle was able to load up on defense. Since signing his big contract, Seattle has done nothing but gut the defense to accommodate his huge cap number. Seattle has now realized they can't win with him so why would we? Seattle is run by much smarter people than Dallas.

one play away from a second SB that coaching mistake and consistently in the playoffs..RW with bad defense and OL started last season what 6-0..right hes better then dak , Period...Wilson elite daks in the next tier..sorry wake up

He is a great player, but he's not Brady or Manning. His contract buys us 2 years to rebuild the defense which is the minimum its going to take. Then, he's due a new contract which will be larger than the one Dak wants. So what's the point? Our best bet is to draft one of these QBs at #10 and have 5 years of a cheap rookie contract at QB.

I'm sure some will start insulting people for their view on this, but to my thinking it's not irrational for a person to have either one of these views even though they are in opposition to each other.

Contrary to what is popular for people to think these days, it is possible for rational people to have different viewpoints.

Ultimately it just takes reasonable people to discuss the options in a reasonable manner and come up with the best solution they can

It's human nature, for many, to disparage other people's opinions while couching their own in fact. But this place...dear lord! Rampant automatic attacks.

"I don't want to pay Dak that much money"
"Dak hater".

It's crazy!

Wilson is interested in Dallas for the Show Biz which will make Jerry Dumbo GM Jones continue to ignore the defense with value draft picks and signings. Wilson is 32 and has lost to Dak Prescott, 27, in the playoffs. Wilson is the better pure passer. But Dak is now on par with him being 5 years younger. Wilson actually is the faster better athlete and is a short thick version of Dak body build. Wilson should have been drafted by the Cowboys in the 2012 draft when I rated him the best QB in the draft (go check) but said he would be past up because of the height.

So what would I give up trading for Russell Wilson and what would I give up for resigning Dak Prescott is answered in this video:

I think Wilson is great but he is 32 with a lot of miles on the tires. He has 3-4 peak years in home? That is too much. Personally I sign Dak or trade Dak and draft a QB before I trade for Wilson.

I think that a three team deal would be ideal because I don't think Seattle would want to pay even more for their next quarterback.

I would try to trade Dak's rights and send the picks to Seattle, including this year's first rounder if need be.

We hear that statement a lot, but that's not the way it works.

Quarterbacks don't lose to other quarterbacks, both play offense. What if there's a game and each team scores every time they have the ball, but one team gets the ball with a minute to go and gets a score to win just as time expires? How did the other quarterback "lose" the game? He did the same thing the other guy did, scored on each drive, it was a matter of who got the ball last.

And of course you hear that in baseball, they list the "winning" and "losing" pitchers, just as dumb...

Wilson won a SB with one of the best defenses in NFL history and Marshawn Lynch going beast mode. Dak has never had that kind of support on the other side of the ball or anything even close to that.

.............and he never will have that kind of support if we pay him 40M a year or even 35M. Dak isn't about winning. He's about being respected, and we all know money is respect in the NFL. He doesn't care if we pay him the entirety of the 180M salary cap and surround him with volunteers. He'll take the money.

CBS Sports had a crazy three team trade with the Raiders involved where we give up Dak, a 2022 first round and then like a 4th round pick.

More than I would prefer, but a three team deal like I expected needs to happen.

Having said that, the Jones boys lack the broad vision required to see anything but giving Dak and his agent whatever they want. They effectively rule out any of their other options.
