You don't have to "care" what Watson makes. I'm telling you what the "market dictates". Either the Cowboys will sign it or they won't. Either way, you will be right here cheering for the Cowboys regardless of the outcome right?

Well.. If they do sign it.. I get the feeling you're going to be blaming Jerry for a lot of inevitable mismanagement for our lack of success.

Jerry is going to be the guy to overcome the bad QB deal....? Can't wait to waste 4 years on this theory.

I love how the blame goes on the players around the overpaid QB.

There is just some QB's who can overcome a big contract and some who can't.

Or it's just a big coincidence that most of these QB's win on their rookie deal and suddenly after they get paid the team around them just didn't manage things properly.
Its just a coincidence. Because to me if Mahomes played for the Texans last year they would still win 4 games. If Watson played for the Buccaneers I see no reason to believe why they couldn't win a Super Bowl with him.

If we are being truthful....everyone needs help. Brees needed it. Rodgers needed it. Mahomes needed it. You can't escape fielding good teams. You just can't.

Most definitely because I've looked and studied why the Eagles and Rams have failed and Wentz and Goff aren't at the top of the list at all.

Rams haven't had a 1st round pick SINCE Goff. That's a fail. Teams don't win in this league getting rid of first round picks year after year. How do you improve your team without 1st round talents in every draft? Also factor in they've paid big money to Sammy Watkins, Brandon Cooks and Todd Gurley. Once again, not managing the salary cap wisely.

In regards to the Eagles.....they've traded their 1st round picks as well. Not smart. They've oddly used their resources on tight ends and defensive tackles. They have 3 highly paid defensive tackles.....failure. In the past two drafts, they've passed up Justin Jefferson for Reagor and Metcalf for JJ Artega Whiteside. They've overpaid aging veterans like Alshon Jeffrey's and Desean Jackson. They wasted draft capital on Darius Slay.

Carson Wentz sucks. No doubt. But would he suck as bad if he had Justin Jefferson or DK Metcalf? Would he suck as bad if he had better personnel?

To your argument then one could argue Dallas sucks seeing as how they traded away their 2019 1st round pick for Amari Cooper which is equally stupid using your Rams and Eagles comparison. Furthermore, Dallas paid WR Cooper a massive contract, paid Zeke Elliott a massive contract, and then drafted and paid WR Lamb. They further paid massive deals to several o-linemen as well as to the likes of LB J. Smith and DE Lawrence.

The difference is that the Rams went to the Super Bowl in the 2018-19 season and the Eagles won the Super Bowl in the 2017-18 season whereas Dallas hasn't sniffed a Super Bowl in over 25 years.

So while I agree the Rams and Eagles made terrible decisions, Dallas has made equally bad decisions made worse by the fact that they have not seen any positive results.

I disagree. He's almost unstoppable.

Maybe Watson is just overrated.

Of course I will. I blamed Jerry for mismanaging the cap when Dak was getting paid 500k a year...why would I stop now that he gets paid 40? What sense does that make?

I don't know if Jerry will overcome the bad QB Deal. But what I do know is the salary cap is going to go up and that 40 million Dak gets won't be a factor in why the Cowboys stink if they are.

There's nothing uncivil about calling Khiladi a liar. Its actually doing my civil duty doing so. He's a known liar. What's the issue? He literally lies on this site lol.

So calling you a name is being uncivil but you calling someone else a name is doing your civil duty? Wow, good luck with that type of thinking.

If Dak's agent is not accurately representing Dak's wishes, Dak should fire him.
His agent is just trying to get the most for his client. That’s why you hire an agent. They throw stuff out all the time. Doesn’t mean its going to happen. Point is that Dak didn’t say it, his agent did. So the haters need to quit saying Dak is asking for close to Mahomes money. It’s a lie.

The so-called "market" doesn't "dictate" anything. The players like to pretend it does, but it doesn't. There's no rule that says your team HAS to pay you as much or more than another team paid their QB. Your value is based on your employer's need for your talent, not on another team's willingness to foolishly spend themselves into oblivion with a different QB.

Its not equally as stupid though because the Cowboys generally draft well in the 1st round. Follow me for a second....

Since 2017....Eagles 1st round draft picks are Derek Barnett, no 1st rounder in 2017, Andre Dillard and Jalen Reagor..
Since 2017....Rams 1st round picks are........nobody. Nada. NOTHING. CERO.

I don't even know what your point is about bringing up Dallas. Where did I say they were the model franchise or that they didn't suck? I'm confused?

Of course...yet, every team does it. Every QB gets paid. Every team gives in.....its because the owner will pay it. They have to pay what your demands are and if they don't someone else will. Its just what it is. You can get upset with the process if you want but its what it is.

If I'm lying and you call me a liar I have no issue with that. If I'm a dog and you call me a dog I have no issue with it. You and Khiladi are liars and so I called you a liar...I Don't understand the issue...most people would call you far worse.

Naw Watson isn't overrated he just needs proper coaching and a team around him. Watson would put in work with Andy Reid, Tyreke Hill and Travis Kelce. I mean we saw what they made Alex Smith look like didn't we? I see no reason to believe Deshaun Watson wouldn't look as good.

Mahomes was far from unstoppable last year. There were plenty of times he got bailed out by his defense which isn't even stellar itself.

Don't play victim here. Both sides of this argument dishes it out just as much as the other side takes it. "OMG...the horror! Please leave the Dak haters alone....all they want to do is have a civil conversation and debate on Dak Prescott.". Please. Save that for someone else to believe.

I love how people try to downplay how good Mahomes was last season when he threw 38 TD's and went to the Superbowl.

He wasn't that good..

Let me tell you about the 1-3 Dak Prescott though.. Amazing. Pay the man.

Correct. Dalton faced such juggernauts such as the Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, Commanders TWICE, Cinncinati, San Fran, Philly and the Giants. How on earth he won 4 games there still boggles my mind.

Combined Records of teams faced by each respective QB

Dak 43-37 Win % .538
Dalton 60-82-2 Win % .423
Dinucci 4-11-1 (Eagles) Win % .267
Gilbert 12-4 (Steelers) Win % .750

So Dak faced teams with a combined record just above average and Dalton faced teams with a record slightly below average. Then again given how so many point to the Dallas defense being so historically bad when defending Dak can't the same argument be used to defend Dalton? Just curious.

Dallas Cowboys 1st round draft picks since 2017:

2017: Taco Charlton BUST and released
2018: LVE JURY STILL OUT had played well then injuries
2019: NOTHING NADA CERO
2020: CeeDee Lamb Good rookie season but had some drop issues; luxury pick not a need

So Dallas isn't in much better shape in terms of draft picks. As for my point: you referenced the failings of the Rams and Eagles yet they have gone to (Rams) and won a Super Bowl (Eagles) recently whereas Dallas has done nothing.

No Dak is paying his agent to try and get the best deal for him. Whatever that takes.
If "whatever it takes" involves spouting insanity like this, then he better be ready to get criticized for his agent doing "whatever it takes."
