Cap hell doesn't really exist. Restructures keep money rolling in and dead money rolling forward.

For example, there are about four players Dallas can restructure this year. If any of those are not restructured this year, they can be restructured next year, as can Dak. This allows the team to continue signing players and to use their future restructures to eat dead cap and sign more players. It's an accounting game.

Yeah, all these years later and I still don't fully undertand it all. What I do know is cap space can be easily manipulated so all these articles we read about how much room each team has are basically useless.

Based on Schefter’s tweet the first year cap number should be either $25.5 million or $22.2 million, which is much less than the $37M+ he would have counted on the tag.
