It wouldn't matter if we had Mahomes or Brady or if you paid Dak 1m or 100m . The defense has always been and will continue to be the downfall of the cowboys.

Washington is a quarterback away from dominating this division for some years. Giants posted a top 10 defense and if they ever find an OL and a couple weapons their set too. Eagles just a cluster F like Dallas but hey at least we have a franchise qb

Dak will face so much scrutiny and he may fold under pressure of the fans answer the media . I hope he takes the team to a SB , otherwise a Wentz scenario and booing will be all over the place .

we drastically overpaid for a average QB coming off a season ending devastating injury

It's an ankle and was on the QB. He isn't a HB, WR, TE or any other position that cuts and changes direction quickly. Injuries that limit QBs are throwing arms/ shoulders, back, and possibly knee. Ankle isn't going to stop a QB from throwing especially when no nerve or ligament damage happened. It's not like Jaylon and drop foot

I guess you didn't look at our non-conference schedule. Unless we significantly improve the defense I think 9-7 is our ceiling next year.

Our defense is too far from being competitive.... It is a literal joke, and unless we are magically active in FA, looks poised to only get worse.

Dak is a good enough QB to lead a very talented offense. The issue has been contract $$$. Well we will find out right away if the right decision was made. I like Dak, but I do have some doubts, mostly cause of the injury as you mentioned.

But in the end, I’m rooting for Dak to succeed and I expect the Boys to at least win the NFC East.

If Dallas doesn't make the playoffs it'll likely be for the usual reason - defense not good enough to win anything, yet again.

As for "gimped up", I'll trust actual doctors on the Cowboys medical staff over some guy called moving vans on the internet.
