No real impact players outside of Parsons, true; but most impact players bust.

No - just saying that we can still rebuild a big chunk of the defense..... Lot of decent mid round LBs, a decent slate of safety's and CBs. D-line is a weakness, but we also need some depth on the o-line, which is a huge strength in this draft.

I personally think if we can fix the secondary, a lot of the issues with the front 7 will be minimalized.

...........with JAGS. We need to hit like Tampa did last year on 2 defensive studs in the draft. Then we need LVE and gregory to live up to their potential........ and even then I see no way of rebuilding the interior of the DL. We literally have the worst DTs in the NFL. They rank last as a position group. It would be a tall order for a team WITH cap space and competent GM, let alone the dallas cowboys.

When I posted trading Gallup for a 1st in the middle of last season I got ripped to shreds - because we should get more than a 1st.

And our front office does continue to draft very well.... So let's be hopeful.

Lawrence, LVE, and Jaylon improving is possible.... again, why be so pessimistic? It's a sport haha. If we get the LVE, Lawrence, and Jaylon we expected last season, plus add a first round safety, and say a third round corner, we might have a better defense than expected.....

so watson and wilson have to win a superbowl after they got their large contracts. that goes for Allen, Jackson and a slew of others to come. Mahomes got the contract, but won it the year before, so he has to win one after his contract. Mayfield, few others are about to get paid. they better all win superbowls.....

its that simple. and are you also saying, no other part of this team bears any responsibility for winning a superbowl? just Dak?

Wilson has a SB , Manhomes and Rodgers too . No one will remember Dak’s contract other than a mistake if he at least does not reach a super bowl . Of course the GM has to build around him with what’s left , but at the end if Dak does not make a difference and reach a SB , this will be remembered as a mistake signing of an overrated QB .
