Come draft time, just say all top defense prospects are still out there. You want an aggressive player who loves to play the game and make plays. A beast if I may say so. Who do you like? Thanks for responding.

Dude,I'm an amateur at this. As I said I want a beast , game changer, I say Micah Parsons. That good enough for you?
Well obviously. You didn't need to tell us this after the OP lol

There's not a single defensive player I'd take at 10.

I be tempted to take Farley at 10. In fact if he is there I would without hesitation. Surtain would be tempting

I'm waffling on Farley and Surtain and probably will until draft day. But either one would make me happy.

Horn is the most "baller" player I've seen in this draft class, and low-4.4 speed at 6'1" 205 will always get the league's attention.

Parsons is like a more agile Devin White. Freaky talent, but best suited to an attacking defense that we aren't playing and some of the accusations against him are disturbing. I'm kind of growing cold on him.

Rousseau intrigues me because of his insane frame and insane production, but he needed another year about as bad as anyone in college football. People will probably be buzzing about him again after Miami's Pro Day. I'm high on him but can't justify him above the other defenders on this list.

Depends on what we do in FA if we can sign a great DT a S and a CB we could very well take best player available.
Pitts, Slater, Surtain, Farley Sewel Parsons

This is a loaded Cornerback class and you can find a starter in Round 2 and maybe even Round 3. . I would consider an Edge Rusher to push DeMarcus Lawrence. Maybe Kwity Paye

Surtain 7.02 Pro Bowl Talent

Overview

Lockdown, press-man cornerback with elite size, length and talent to match up with any brand of receiver from any place on the field. He was a five-star recruit coming in and he consistently competed for championships in high school and college. Surtain possesses elite physical and athletic traits with the rare combination of length and short-area quickness that allows him to play on a press-man island and phase routes on all three levels. He plays to his length with plus technique and cover skills that make winning downfield a very challenging proposition. He was beaten in true man-to-man battles for 29-plus yards just five times during his career. His ability to stay connected to the route allows him to shut down yards after catch very quickly as a strong, wrap-up tackler. Run support goes in the "strengths" column, as well. He's been well-schooled at home and at Alabama. He's wired like a future All-Pro cornerback.

Trade down

Barmore 6.7 Year one quality starter

Overview

Attack-oriented defensive tackle with a big body, violent hands and the talent to work his way around blocks and find the football. Barmore tends to be in the lead and take control of a majority of reps. His hands and feet sing in harmony and allow him to stay active and free from attempts to sustain blocks against him. His hands are heavy and powerful but also sudden and efficient, which creates early win opportunities for him in the run game and as a pass rusher. Barmore can be his own worst enemy when he freestyles his run fits and prematurely gives away positioning when posting up in read-and-react mode. He’s exceptional at finding a blocker’s edge and swiping past the outside hand to bring the ruckus inside the pocket. While he has similar size and skill set, it doesn’t feel like he’s as long at the point of attack as past Alabama defensive tackles now in the pros. Barmore’s explosive first step, violent hands and upper-body power are the ingredients of a three-down defender with the versatility to play a number of positions in an even or odd front as an impactful rookie starter.

Ojulari 6.7 Year one quality starter

Overview

Fully grown 3-4 outside linebacker with NFL-ready strength and imposing explosiveness. Ojulari is better in pursuit than he is as an edge setter, but he is quick to slide off a block and either make a tackle or accelerate to pursue in space. His closing burst creates a wide sphere of playmaking influence but his ability to attack pulling blocks and shut down potential running lanes was fun to watch against Alabama. He has quality rush burst with loose limbs, but has a limited number of rush moves and hasn't learned to set up blockers yet. The strength, football character, explosiveness and athleticism all get check marks but he won't reach his exciting potential until he cultivates his pass-rush talent. Still, traits like Ojulari's usually don't last on the draft board all that long.

Horn 6.43 Starter within two years

Overview

Three-year starter with tantalizing combination of size and length that is clearly effective when matched in tight man coverage. Horn can line up in any cover scheme and often traveled with the opponent’s most talented target. He plays with desired eye discipline from zone and the talent to impede release from press. He does an above-average job of closing, crowding and eliminating comfortable windows for quarterbacks to throw into, but his route anticipation is average. Horn can play with solid technique, but he became too reliant on the college game’s tendency to allow mauling beyond five yards and that must be cleaned up moving forward. He needs more consistent effort in run support, but the traits and upside are extremely appealing despite a lack of high-end ball production. Horn offers immediate starting help with a high upside.

JOK 6.82 Quality year one Starter

Two year stats (25 games):
142 T, 24.5 TFL, 7 sacks, 1 int, 7 PD, 5 FF, 4 FR

Overview

It's hard to see Owusu-Koramoah's explosive traits, versatility and playmaking ability on display and not get excited about what is to come. Concerns will be raised about his lack of size and occasional lapses in fundamentals, but neither should detract from his rare potential as a game-changing talent. Not only is he fast to range and help control the outside running game, but he has an instant downhill trigger paired with a willingness to take chances, which should lead to big plays near and behind the line of scrimmage. He has the athletic ability to handle man-cover duties on a variety of positions and his rush potential as a wild-card blitzer bolsters his value. There is still a need to harness and control his energetic playing style and his field discipline is still a work in progress. However, his athletic traits, versatility and playmaking demeanor give him a chance to become the most impactful defender in this draft.

Collins 6.39 Starter within two years

Three year stats (32 games): 236 T, 245 TFL, 7.5 sacks, 5 int, 8 PD, 3 FF, 3 FR

Overview

Combines rare size and athleticism as a big outside linebacker. Collins is a team-oriented defender willing to plug gaps and spill the action wide for teammates to run down. He's rangy with the burst and length to track and capture his prey from the back side or out on the perimeter. His athletic gifts help him overcome his tardiness in diagnosing the action. There is still room for improvement when it comes to taking on blocks and pursuing with proper leverage so cutbacks don't cross his face. The second effort is evident with how frequently he's able to recover from an early block and still make plays. He's aware and dangerous in spot drops with the read and reaction to jump the passing lane. Collins could use more aggression in his play demeanor, but his combination of talent and traits should make him a productive pro starter.

man,thats tough.
the 3 defensive players i like the most are...
micah parsons,lb-penn st
patrick surtain,cb-bama
christian barmore,dt-bama

all things equal...i'd go parsons today.
but i'd be happy with any of those 3.

like Jimmy said so well..better address the oline via draft because the draft is the cheapest and best way. He doesnt trust Tyron. He said what we been saying. I worry about Collins just as much or more too. He didnt exactly give Dak a ringing endorsement lol..but you can tell hes pulling for him. He said one last thing that is very important. He made a great point. We gotta get the draft right and hit on all the picks this time. He kinda squashed this notion that we need to go defense early at 10.

I think I have concluded that I'm not taking any defensive player at 10. If I had to, it would be Farley or Surtain. Not interested in taking Parsons or Paye at all.
I'm targeting Slater, Sewell or trade down.
Pitts if you're stuck and had no trade partner.

yeah pretty much I've narrowed it down to what you said

I'm concerned about Collins too. Personally, I don't think he is all that good.If I remember correctly, he gets flagged pretty often.
