I don’t care how great our Offense is. Yes Cornerback safety is a big need. But nothings bigger than needing a solid defense tackle. Again I don’t expect it to be addressed properly. I have been preaching this since Poe came out of college and we moved up to draft super bust MOstly injured Claiborne instead of him . We just continue to ignore the fact that a giant talented presence in the middle of the defensive line makes everybody's job easier on defense . A guy that can stop the run and occupy 2 Olinemen while still getting pressure is the cornerstone of a good defense

Agreed, but those guys aren't that plentiful. Don't see one in this draft, either. Reaching for a borderline run stopping and pass rushing DT for a team that hasn't been to a SB in over 25 years is too much of a risk.

There are at least 3 excellent to very good corners in this draft. If you can't get the DT you want the pick at 10 has to be corner. You can get a "pretty good" DT in the second round, those types of players aren't in high demand....

Solid defenses are built inside out with the triangle of DT's and MLB, add the hourglass with S's, then you build around them. Until the middle of the field is properly defended, there is no defense.

With this brain trust, it's all outside in and they haven't built a good defense yet.

That was then and this is now. Those coaches are history. Jerry is only interested in top marketing "money 5" players so he can sell seats to weak minded fans.

A beast in the middle and can you imagine having a Ray Lewis type of alpha dog manning the LB position? I loved it when we had McLain back there. We need a specimen that can set the tempo for the entire defense. Watching Jaylon and LVE get pushed around makes me sick. Hard to believe how well they played in 2018.

well thats the point. Which is why I said devalue the position. Instead of getting stitches on a deep cut, they place a thrift store cheapo bandaid on it HOPING it heals it right. Until they change their idiotic way of approaching that position of need, we can expect to get run on once again all year. Still hoping they fix it. We have time.

Knowing the Cowboys....if they had Jaylon Ramsey and TJ Watt.....they'd have some holes somewhere else based on how they build this team.
