Middle of the defense defense tackle

In my opinion this has been our biggest weakness for years. We get pushed around in the middle of the line. If we can’t penetrate. Or stand steady against a run. I don’t care how great our Offense is. Yes Cornerback safety is a big need. But nothings bigger than needing a solid defense tackle. Again I don’t expect it to be addressed properly. Just makes me wonder

Part of it is the ridiculous amount of draft input they gave to Marinelli...

Part of it is the guys who select the players aren't qualified to do so....

for some reason this "braintrust" we call Jerry, Stephen and Will, do not value the dt position much. Football is played between the tackles and you would THINK they woulkd at very least realize this. But nope...they completely devalue that area of dire need. WEIRD

I’m talking throughout the year is the defense of tackle position has killed us. Crawford was a great run stop her but that was it no pressure. And so many other players were just one dimensional. We need a beast in the middle

Exactly my cowboy brother. Everything starts in the middle when it comes to the defense defense of tackle middle linebacker safety. You don’t win without those three players. What’s wrong with this franchise. I’ve been a fan since before Roger Staubach

I really think they bought what Rod was selling them on the front four, even though he never got decent results at DT.

Under Nolan, they did sign 2 FAs and draft Gallimore. Now of course in Dallas fashion both FAs failed, but there was at least a change in direction for the type of DTs that was going to be used.

well thats the point. Which is why I said devalue the position. Instead of getting stitches on a deep cut, they place a thrift store cheapo bandaid on it HOPING it heals it right. Until they change their idiotic way of approaching that position of need, we can expect to get run on once again all year. Still hoping they fix it. We have time.

I don’t get it I know we’ve tried but we tried with leftovers The patriots had Wilfork for years and then they went out and got brown . Get your guy and go get them. You know you need it. No let’s play around like we did with Prescott

I have been preaching this since Poe came out of college and we moved up to draft super bust MOstly injured Claiborne instead of him . We just continue to ignore the fact that a giant talented presence in the middle of the defensive line makes everybody's job easier on defense . A guy that can stop the run and occupy 2 Olinemen while still getting pressure is the cornerstone of a good defense

The last couple of years, teams have been running us off the field. We continue to wait for improvements.

football is won and lost in the trenches. It always comes back to that...its the simplicity of the game.The teams that don't understand this and get it right are the ones that fail year in year out.If your trenches are decent to good, and you have a good to great QB, with a somewhat decent running back, you ALWAYS have a chance. We had better not assume Tyron and Collins will be fine. Tyron has missed tons of games dating back to 2016. Bucky Brooks even brought this up yesterday on the draft show broadcast. He is not wrong. He was practically laughing at the notion that Tyron wont miss games again and that Collins will be ready. Thats why I LOVE BUCKY...he tells the truth, no blinders on. Dave Helman is an idiot when it comes to the oline situation. He is willing to bet Daks health on very suspect olineman like Tyron and Collins. INSANE. We don't have to draft an olineman in round 1 unless Sewell or Slater are there at 10. Then I sure wood. Then go defense the rest of the way.

This draft there isn't an Aaron Donald or such available, while I agree it's a need, I don't want the Cowboys reaching at no. 10...

Jerry Jones is a bells and whistles guy. Give him the WRs, CBs and DEs to go along with a QB and he sees dollar signs and excitement. He can't help himself when it comes to guys farthest away from the ball. He isn't concerned about the big uglies that are the lunch pail guys setting the tone for the entire team. Jason Garrett had to drag him kicking and screaming into addressing the Center and Guard positions. They haven't had a defensive HC who would tell him that the center of his defense (DT, MLB and FS) matters and will win him games.

It doesn't sell carnival tickets to be built like the Ravens, Steelers, Pats, Seahawks, and Eagles were built during successful runs. Crazy that no one has had him sit down with Saban to understand what really makes Bama tick.
