The one guy I love at 10 is Pitts. If he's not there we need to trade down and look to add a 2nd or a 3rd rounder.
Guys I love between 12-20 are Baremore, Farley, Zaven Collins, Surtain
Guys I like between 20-30 are Ojulari, Horn, Paye, Phillips
Guys that scare me in the first round are Parsons, LB from Notre Dame(bias reasons) and the DE from Mia
Guys I like in the second round McNeil, Bolton, Moehrig, Stokes, Dickerson, Jenkins, Holland

I share none of your fears regarding Parsons and JOK. I have more questions about Paye than almost any top prospect.

The reports of Dallas looking at Neal in FA to play WLB makes you wonder if a guy like JOK is someone that could be a target in a trade down. Quinn may be wanting to get quicker at LB.

What does bias reason mean? You don't like him because he went to ND?

Pick 10: Pitts (TE), Slater (OT), Farley (CB), Surtain (CB)
11-18: JOK (WILL)
18-25: Baremore (DT), Horn (CB), Moehrig (S)
2nd Round: Grant (S), Stokes (CB), Molden (CB), Cox (LB), Phillips (DE)
Late 2nd: Melifonwu, Perkins, Holland, Humphrey (OC/OG)

What about the reporting that Dallas is looking at Denzel Perryman? See, we can do this all day.

Like you, I’m all in on Pitts at 10 if he’s there. I’m afraid he won’t be though.

I’d be ok with Surtain or Farley at 10 I guess, although I’m not crazy about Farley’s general lack of playing time at DB and I’ve heard that he doesn’t know that much about coverages. I’d feel much better with Surtain. I’m not sure how late either will last but if I could get Surtain with a trade back, I’d see that as a win. Probably won’t happen.

If Dallas is wanting to get some more speed at the Will LB position, I’d be more than down with Koramoah, who I think is going to be a really good player. He can just do so much and he is dynamic out on the field. I don’t share your concerns at all with JOK. Keep in mind that what Jaylon was asked to do last year and what JOK would be asked to do this year are completely different. Quinn’s scheme uses the Will much differently than Nolan’s.

In fact, if Quinn is wanting to add speed and coverage at LB, that moves JOK way up on my wish list. Without a dominant EDGE or DT available, I’d love to have JOK.

Parsons is a really talented player and I don’t really share your concerns here either. If they take him, I’d have to assume they vetted his off field stuff and found it to be not much. (I don’t think that it is much BTW). He could do a lot of good things for Dallas. He’s at the very top of athletes and he showed he can play.

I do like Ojulari and Horn late in the first, like you said. I’m not crazy about Paye although I could be wrong on him.

I don’t think Barmore is anything special and I’d rather have a guy like Nixon in round 2 if that’s the way they want to go.

Bottom line is that I need to get Pitts out of my mind because he’s going to be gone at 10 and ruin my day, haha.

I like Farley but I honestly don't like any of the guys who missed a whole year of football. If we take a LB it's gotta be a MLB and I like Zaven the best out of all of them, yes out of all of them and Parsons does scare me a lot. Off field concerns and he didn't play last year, something just seems off with this guy to me.

Do what?

Perryman is a MLB. They might be looking at Neal to play a hybrid type OLB position. Two totally different positions.

If they want to go MLB, look at Collins. I think he could be quite good. If they want to add a quickish OLB type then JOK might fit the bill.

And FWIW, I wouldn’t take Collins or JOK at 10.

Yeah, it gives me some hesitation that some of these guys skipped the season, but it wouldn’t stop me from taking a guy I liked. It definitely could be a tie-breaker though.

Collins, I do like but I’ve been saying all offseason that I want some speed and quickness at LB. Jimmy Johnson had smaller, faster guys at LB and I loved how they played. Teams didn’t get to the edge against those defenses.

Those 6’5” LB’s like Collins (and LVE) don’t have the quickness for a 43 scheme, IMO. And I’m not really talking about their 40 times either. LVE ran a good 40 but tall guys lack the change of direction and lateral quickness that I like to have at LB. They lack the suddenness that I need at LB. Particularly at the Will LB spot.

Guys like Lavonte David in Tampa, Deion Jones in Atl (Quinn’s choice for Will), Darius Leonard... those guys are more what I have in mind for the Will position in Quinn’s scheme. Plus, as time goes on in the modern NFL, coverage is only becoming more and more important.

Koramoah is the epitome of the modern LB IMO. His speed is great, but what is more important is that his change of direction and lateral agility are rare for LB. He could do everything that Deion Jones can do, but he’s a better player IMO. He’s a bigger hitter and is significantly better in coverage. He’d be a chess piece that Quinn could use all over the field in probably every sub-package.

In a draft that lacks a dominant Edge rusher, a dominant DT and where the cornerback class is very deep, I’d be very happy with JOK and frankly, feel like he’d just about do more to help the defense than any of the other guys.

Something like:
Rd 1 - LB Koramoah
Rd. 2 - CB Stokes
Rd. 3 - DT McNeil
Rd. 3 - DE Basham

Would, IMO go a long, long way toward rectifying what was wrong on defense last year... with the addition of Quinn of course.

Am I expecting it to happen? No. But you can count me as one of the happy guys if JOK ends up in Dallas.

At 10 I like Slater, Pitts, and Waddle.

At 10 to 15 I like Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Surtain or Horn.

A trade back to 20 to 32 and I would target Nick Bolton. I also like Azeez Ojulari, Richie Grant, Greg Newsome, and Tevin Jenkins.

A trade back that gave us Bolton, Grant, Newsome, and McNeil would be awesome.

This is possible and I would love it.

It looks like the QBs will get taken in the top 10 and OTs and edge rushers usually get pushed up also so a lot these guys should move down and RBs usually get pushed down. I would love to trade down and get another second round pick. According to the trade value chart Miami at 18 would be the earliest the points would match up. With one first and two seconds we could get three players that could start pretty early and be quality starters. Horn, Moehrig, and Bolton would be one possible combination but there are a lot more depending on how the draft falls. If there is a guy in the second we really like we could use one of the day three comp picks to try to move up.

1 Lawrence
2 Pitts
3 Smith
4 Chase
5 Surtain
6 Parsons
7 JOK
8 Waddle
9 Slater
10 Sewell
11 Entienne
12 Barmore
13 Harris
14 Horn
15 Darrisaw
16 Lance
17 Farley
18 Fields
19 Oweh
20 Wilson
21 Vera-Tucker
22 Dickerson
23Jenkins
24 Moore
25 Ojulari
26 Paye
27 Williams
28 Collins
29 Newsome
30 Phillips
31 Toney
32 Moehrig

My thing is how many guys are ranked extremely high one season then after their junior or senior season they fall from a top 20 pick to the 4th round. Like Wilson the DT from Florida state, or I think Saun Wade the corner from Ohio State. If Wade sat out is he talked about like a top ten pick and we know he's probably gonna be a day 3 pick.

Depends how far we trade down, but I'd be targeting Horn, JOK, Ojulari, Moehrig, Collins, Barmore. In that order.

Pitts being there at 10 depends really on the trades that go down on draft day for QBs and OL guys. We could also see 2 WR go in top 10 so there is a chance he is there but going to be crazy hype about what is going to happen over next 4 weeks plus.
