He was the no.1 player out of High School, no.1 player out of college, and no.1 overall draft pick.The man was a 4-3 RDE in college and is only 28 years old. Clowney's rookie year and 2020 COVID year did Clowney not play in at least 13 games. How many games did Aldon Smith, David Irving, and Randy Gregory miss the last 7 years?

Then we are wasting time with "Achilles Heal" Hooker, Neal, and doing that Kazee stuff?

When you have a 28 year old former no.1 overall pick that was a Pro Bowl player in 2019, you sign him just to show you are actually trying to improve your defense and win a Super Bowl. Clowney has played out of position as a OLB in a 3/4 for all his career excluding the SeaHawks in 2019. Bring him in to prove the obvious is not true.

So many teams willing to pay a stud pass rusher elite money yet so few teams are interested in this guy.

Let's forget about our secondary issues so we can chase an aging underachiever like Clowney.


Now tell me he will play for 3-5m on a 1 year deal and we can talk.

If I had 10m to waste I would have Patrick Peterson at CB this year.

Never seen a player live of one play more than clowney dude is an alright player but has made millions on being over rated and over paid

I say this as a person who thinks Clowney is very underrated.

He wants too much money. He would be great with a DC who devised a plan where he plays inside on rushing packages. He’s a good player, that because of his draft position, needs to be paid like a great player.

He was a Pro Bowler in 2018, not 2019.

He has 3 sacks in his last 21 games, and is still looking for starting DE money.
