Dan Quinn has convinced the Cowboys that safety is a priority

So their evidence that Quinn has convinced the Front office that safety is a priority is the signing of Keanu Neal, who will likely play most snaps at LB, and a few cheap FS visits coming off injuries?

LOL, I was thinking the same thing.

We signed Clinton-Dix last year for example. This seems kind of the same thing bringing Hooker or Kazee in here.

Did it take Quinn to drive it into their heads that they need a safety? Like how stupid is this organization? All that Jerry and his merry men had to do was read this forum. We would have won a Super Bowl a long time ago.

Haters gonna hate. Sheesh.

Or state facts. JJT seems to be insinuating that because they brought in Neal and could bring in Kazee or Hooker, that's a sign Quinn has gotten them to consider safety a priority. But how is what they are doing any different than previous years? They've done similar type moves in the past at S. Such as bringing in vets like Clinton-Dix, Thompson, etc.

Now if they had gone out and gotten John Johnson, then that would have sent a message. Or if they draft a S very early, like maybe maneuver around to get your boy Moehrig. They do that, then I will believe S is now a priority.

Every day, every thread, every post. You can’t stop the hate.

It's a fan site.

Neal and Kazee/Hooker won’t prove much of anything about how Dallas feels about safety. Neither is that big of an upgrade.

Neal will help a lot in the Sub Packages as a nickel LB but as a true SS he isn’t going to be an upgrade over Wilson, IMO.

Hooker (or Kazee) shouldn’t be much of an upgrade either unless a minor miracle occurs with their health.

Not that they’re terrible... but none of the three proves that they’re approaching safety any differently,

The only way it will be evident that they are viewing the position differently is if they spend a significant draft pick on a guy like Moehrig or Grant. These moves do not.

If Hooker is actually on the field you'll see a massive upgrade.

The size of that IF is just as massive.

I said weeks ago I wanted Moehrig at 10.

I stand by that even if they sign one of the guys who blew out an achilles last fall.

Moehrig is exactly what this team needs and I dont care at all if the pick is not in line with media drafts.

Yeah, if Hooker can still run and change directions like he used to, the guy is really talented and has great natural ball skills. I just don’t know if he’ll: 1, be the same guy, and 2, stay healthy.

We can hope though, assuming he comes to Dallas.

I too like Moehrig. If he ends up a Cowboy, the FS problem should be solved.
