-Think the team is zeroing in on taking either Surtain or Horn at 10. Don't see them trading back and it wouldn't surprise me if Horn is rated higher. Heard Quinn has a close relationship with South Carolina's HC. Read recently that a NFL Scout said, the media is projecting him too low, he is up there with the top guys. Think only Pitts or Sewell would change them from going in another direction.

-With all the safety signings this week, it supports the notion that the safety position is the most important in Quinn's scheme to work. Think they finally use a premium pick at the position. Perhaps they get aggressive and go get Moehrig or Grant in a trade up or just take Molden as a conversion. Don't see Holland as an option as he is a poor fit as a single high.

-Just like Safety, I think they finally address the 1 Tech DT. There are rumblings that they are looking at the top 1T's in this year's class, which is very encouraging to say the least.

-They reportedly love Milton Williams for LA Tech, he is a DE/3T prospect. A name to watch at 44 or 75.

-Think DL is going to be a major focus, not so much for 3T. but everywhere else. Many fans are downplaying the need behind Tank/Gregory, it is a huge hole to address even after the Basham signing.

-Don't think they view Linebacker as a dire need to address, even if they don't sign a KJ Wright and just bring back Sean Lee. My hunch is, we will probably see them take a day 3 linebacker nobody has ever heard and turns out to be another Hitchens type.

-10 picks, doesn't mean they are going to draft 10 players. Could see them using the extra comp picks to trade up for targeted players. They certainly have the ammo to do so.

If they draft the first three rounds like last year expect good value picks as opposed to drafting for need. If a round 1 guy falls to round two they would probably take him. Same with round three.

Im locking in to them taking Williams at 44. Alot of work needed, but those pro day numbers are practically historic.

Word is the Bengals are very high on him too

I really hope not, don't care what he tested, he is another raw, developmental prospect.
It would be ballsey, but sometimes you need to have balls to get ahead.

Its all in how confident the team is in the coaches to get the most out of the talent.

Williams wouldnt be my first choice at 44, but I wouldn't be upset either. He is raw, but its not he was garbage in college like Hill was

Why do they keep on targeting raw prospects that are multiple years of development away? I understand this class doesn't have one who is NFL ready, but much rather take a Nixon, Ozur, Tuefele, at the position than another small schooled player. At 44, we may have a high 2nd rd graded player on our board, taking him at 44 would be a massive reach.

I find it funny that taking Horn at 10 (a player who was being projected late 1 or 2 just a month ago) is not a teach but taking Barmore or Moehrig at 10 would be a reach

Horn and Milton as first 2 picks would be absolutely horrible

Really the only massive project we have taken in the last few years is Hill. Pretty much every other pick we have taken in the first few rounds had a more normal trajectory. Hill was a bad pick because he was a bad defensive line in college. He was all traits

I Like Milton but would take Payton Turner before him.

People let tv guys influence them. You know that. If the majority outlets say it thats what it is. Barmore isnt a reach when he had similiar production to Q Williams (a guy fans were crying about trading for who went #3) and Payne who went like 14.

I love it all, except Horn at 10.

We’ve had some back and forth about Surtain at 10 and I could at least get on board with him, but the athletic concerns with Horn are even bigger for me.

I think he’ll be a dog against big bodied WRs in the NFL but will struggle against quality route tuners or anyone that if shifty.

We already have that dude in Diggs...we need someone with quick feet and fluid hips and those are weaknesses on Horns scouting report.

If Pitts is available, I think that they would take him or trade back for a premium. I don't think that they would let the Giants or the Eagles get Pitts. The Chargers might be a good trade partner. If Pitts is gone. I think they take a corner at 10. I think that they would take Surtain if he is available.

If they did trade with the Chargers they could get picks 13 and 47. They could then draft a corner at 13 or trade back again. They could also use the draft capital gained to trade up with their 2nd pick and draft a safety which would be either Grant or Moehrig.

Expecting another good draft. They’ve been on a roll lately.

You got to remember that some players are ranked differently from the media scouts to the actual scouts. Many media scouts didn't even have Milton ranked until after his pro day, yet in the NFL circles they were very high on him.

You know from our prior discussions, I don't like either Surtain or Horn at 10, but I think the team goes in that direction. They haven't signed a veteran, new DB coach and Quinn in person watching both Surtain/Horn. I am fine with taking a corner later, but I don't think they will do that.

Let's hope Milton is further along if they did draft him.
