The Giants are building a nice team.

I personally don't think their QB is much of anything, so they don't worry me.

This is the difference between a GM having to get it done or be gone.

No such pressure in Dallas.

Jerry once called this an "advantage."

Some truly delusional stuff.
I don't think much of Jones either but all It takes is one offseason and this is the point where he should taking that next level if he will. I have a strong feeling...he may just do that. I think he somewhat gets unfair criticized knowing he had a inconsistent run game and Saquon got hurt last year.

I think its inevitable for him if he's just even a game manager at BEST they will be a good team. I still expect the Cowboys to take the division but if Cowboys end the season in 3rd place behind the Giants and Commanders? Would not shock me at all. They've improved their holes and I expect the players there last year should be even better.

I expect better play being all these head coaches were new last year. They'll be even better this year and more prepared.

the Giants are building as you should, from the inside out. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Much of what they been doing is related to this. Their achilles heel is QB.
They didn't really build the inside out....they've had a poor offensive line for years and on defense they traded for Leonard Williams a year ago.

Giants are just building a team. They have holes and they are just replacing them with the best guy on the market. Nothing different than what teams like the Jaguars do every offseason.

I'm not knocking them for it. Whether it works or not they are doing the common sense thing. Whether these guys fit their team is another story but right now Giants fans have a lot of reasons to be optimistic.

Yep. This is one that makes me scratch my head. And, in the middle of the season, when we are being gashed in the run game, the staff and FO are going to act all perplexed.
It is very frustrating.

And you can bet when that happens the usual suspects will be out in full force on CZ telling us “there was nothing the FO could have done” or “what did you want them to do? Overpay mediocre FAs?”

They should've shored up this position years ago. The fact that we have to cry about signing guys like Danny Shelton is just sad and a reflection of them completely ignoring this position or whiffing on guys.

I mean its possible don't get me wrong. But I do think for what its worth we have the best offense in the division. I do think Quinn will improve this defense. Guys will get better. I don't see us having the injury bug we had last year. So yeah, its inevitable that we will improve over what we did last year. But still....the holes we had last year will probably be the same holes we had the year before. Getting ran over by CJ Anderson.........

If Jones becomes anything good we are in trouble before long.

I still have faith that Garrett will unintentionally prevent that, but they have put some pieces around him.

Gettleman had no real choice. He is way gone if they don't make a big leap this year.

The thing about Garrett is that he's not a terrible offensive coach. There were years when we could have competed in the playoffs if we'd had a decent defense. What he has shown is that he can't coach an offense that can overcome a mediocre defense.

The Giants weren't mediocre on defense last year. So the major stumbling block is Jones, until proven otherwise. Those good-enough offenses Garrett had here were with Romo at quarterback and Jones isn't on that level yet. (Not counting Dak because Linehan was coordinator, although it was Garrett's offense he was running. Jones also isn't on Dak's level yet, though.)

I respectively disagree. We are going to win our division and go on and win the last game of the 2021-2022 NFL season.

Maybe. Like I said above, I think Cowboys offense will better than anything in the division. And I'm not entirely sure if these defenses in the division are good enough to shut our offense down.

If Jones were going to be anything it would have already happened. The guy can’t play. The best thing about him is he can move.

If New York can win a Super Bowl (two of them) with Eli Manning, then it can win with Jones. It's all just a matter of the parts around him, especially the defense and running game, which played a huge part in the Giants' Super Bowl runs with Manning.

Since when have the Giants had the "elite" quarterback? Tittle?

Based on their history they can do just fine with a mediocre to just better than average quarterback, so even if Jones isn't "all that", it may not hurt them...
