Is honey actually any better than white sugar?

I use monk fruit sweetner, I think diabetics can use that. It is good in tea
You are exactly right. Monk fruit sweetener is a very good sugar substitute. There are others as well.

I dont add sugar to anything And I drink tea all day long un sweet

I’m more concerned about why you’re ruining your tea with a sweetener of any kind. Blasphemy. Especially the Earl.
Ack! Drinking tea without some sort of sweetener reminds me of when I was young and was sick and my mother gave me tea without sweetener. Between that and the non-carbonated Pepsi, I think a lost a few taste buds.

Anyone else get the adds for honey at the bottom of the page?

Have you tried a lot of teas? I could see how you may feel that way about some but there are plenty that don’t need any sweetener IMO.

Check out Harney and Sons teas, it’s where I started buying my tea. There’s tons of options.

Hate to be that guy (in this situation) but I’ve looked into the local honey/allergy theory before and I don’t buy it. Like Vitamin C with preventing sickness, it’s all poppycock.

Vit C boosts your immune system. This is known. Helps your body deal w/ the illness, makes you get over it quicker. I've never heard that it prevented illness. That wouldn't make sense.

Naaaaaaaah, the Brits will take it over and shame us.

When this pandemic is finally over and done with, I want to visit Great Britain and try some of their amazing teas. One thing I found out about there: There's basically no such thing as ice tea. Tea is always hot. That sounds foreign to a boy born in Texas. During a hot Texas summer, it was ice tea that you wanted, definitely not hot. Hot tea was a thing for the winter.

I do drink a lot of tea, as well as coffee and "other beverages" and honey is perfect for tea but it all comes down to the right amount. Getting the balance of bitter and sweet makes the team perfect but too much and it's like cough syrup.

I'll take a spoonful of honey straight over anything with that Stevia plant in it. They finally made an artificial sweetener without the side effects and that's the best they can do?

I’ve never read it but I’ve heard people who are sick act like if they suddenly start taking vitamin C then that will instantly help their cold.

When I was stationed in England in the 80's I went to a pizza place that advertised "American" iced tea. Their idea of American iced tea was a cup of hot tea with a single cube of ice in it. Obviously the ice did not last long enough to really cool the tea.

Sure, but excess vitamin C doesn't do you any good; it just gets flushed away. As long as you have a good diet, you get all the vitamin C benefits you're going to get.
When they first came out with the piss test in the Marines there was a guy who took 30 vitamin C tablets. He heard that it would mask the test. He ended up in the hospital because of it. Of course they tested him there and he was positive. He survived the overdose but got NJP.
