no ties sure but not kicking Fgs that way if you did that has to be each team taking the kick rotating back a nd forth and first to miss loses..but i dont like FGs idea at all..its not natural
less ties would happen if they brought back the first to score wins and ay real game the each team gets shot makes it go back and forth more..
BTW how many ties each year? one or two max, cant make rule to eliminate a very rare occurrence.
Yeah I agree that there's not a lot of ties. For some reason it just annoys me a lot.
But I think I may have not explained my idea that well. The FG idea would be short and sweet. So let's say the Cowboys go into overtime. The home team's kicker goes on the field with a holder. So Greg the leg would go on the field with whoever holds the ball. No snap or anything and Greg kicks a FG. If he makes it then he backs up 3 to 5 yards and kicks again. They only have 20 seconds to make the FG, back up and kick again. If they run out of time then the kick is considered a miss. Just him and the holder. When he misses then the other team's FG kicker and holder get to match it.
Kind of like warm ups but the game is on the line.
Just an idea, I'm not going to die on the hill for it. I just hate ties and think there's got to be a way for STs to get more involved in the outcome of the game. There's offense and defense that take up about 90% of the game then ST take up about 10%. I'm just brainstorming of ways to make STs more valuable.
Lol, since that's all the Cowboys draft for in some drafts.
