The Draft Scenario that scares me

No. This guys has already had more surgery than most of us are comfortable with. Would not touch him till the third.

He's the perfect JJ guy then in the 2nd round. I don't think he'll last that long unless he really fail the follow up medical.

There's been lots of talk Dallas could have a chance to select either, Pitts, Sewell, Slater, Surtain, or Horn at ten, I looked at the the teams needs ahead of Dallas and I'm not putting in possible trades, even though word out there that Atlanta wants out of their spot... If every team stays put and selects a player, what happens if this draft scenario happens and it could very well happen,,,, what does Dallas do at ten????

1. Jacksonville Jaguars - Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

2. New York Jets - Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

3. San Francisco 49ers - Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State

4. Atlanta Falcons - Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

5. Cincinnati Bengals - Penei Sewell, T, Oregon

6. Miami Dolphins - Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

7. Detroit Lions - Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

8. Carolina Panthers - Rashawn Slater, T, Northwestern

9. Denver Broncos - Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

10. Dallas Cowboys

Now what????

I don't want a linebacker at 10...I'm hoping to trade back!
For this scenario to happen, either Chase and Fields were caught on video the night before the draft shooting heroin from a shared needle, or teams will be falling all over themselves to trade with us for one of them. I take the best trade offer and don't look back.

I take Chase without blinking. The logjam at WR will only exist for a year. Then I go D 3 of the next 4 while getting an OT in the next 2 rounds as well. Perhaps James Hudson at 99. I’d need be I would use my 5 to move up for him.

Absolutely. It's actually an easy choice with Chase being the clear cut best player available.

Or Cooper. Cooper will net a better draft pick and trading him frees up cap space.

This is singularly the worst idea I've seen in a long time.

Cooper took less money to play here. Any GM who would trade a guy who did that (save for a guy who asked for a trade) should be immediately fired.

Gee, what do you think are the chances that in the future, others will make that sacrifice? Good lord. Think before posting

Jaelen Phillips without blinking.

100% I’m taking chase. Then no need sign gallop. I’ll trade him for 2nd or let him walk for 3rd round comp. chase is bpa and beast. I’ll run 4 wr sets and drop 40 plus every week. Try to out score us.

Cavanaugh suggested this on the Draft Show, but hopefully you can trade 10 to Chicago so they can take a QB for pick 20 and their 1st next year. Having a top 10 pick is riskier this year with players sitting out, no combine, etc,. Also there isn’t a lot of clear cut defensive 1st round talent. Would rather take my chances with next year’s draft with an extra 1st round pick.

The QB from Ohio State is not getting past Detroit.

JaMarr Chase
He would be the last player with a blue chip grade and BPA by far,
You'll be glad he's on the roster come 2022.

It's not ideal, but if we couldn't trade out if the draft fell that way, then that would be the way to go. He'd easily be the best player available. ... And I think we would need to immediately start shopping Gallup.

I'd rather see us trade down and get Barmore or Moehrig, though. I'm not a fan of taking Parsons there, but I could see it based on his value being next highest. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Farley taken in that situation, depending on medical reports. I know hearing the word surgery made everyone hesitate, but it doesn't necessarily mean that there's a problem there. That's up to the scouts and medical personnel to determine.

I think the key to this draft is going to be ATL.
they have a QB thats 36 years old and has a contract Atl cant get out of for the next few year. Matty has stayed fairly healthy. Julio has been the walking dead for several years now. Their Defense sucks they were as bad as we were at times. They could pick a QB but I highly doubt it but they could New coach wants a chance to do it his way drafting a QB Like Fields or Lance to sit behind Matty for a couple of years could set this team up for the future. Atl is not great but they are not just horrible. Who knows when they could draft this high again?? Taking a QB could be a building block.
On the other hand Matty has stayed fairly healthy still is a franchise QB putting a good defense around him could put them in the running. A trade down to pick up more picks or even a future #1 could be a smart move. Take a team like the eagles they have future #1 picks they could be a team that could trade up for # 4 get their QB this year. More then likely the eagles will still have a top ten pick next year. Atl can still get a great value in that trade down and still get a player of need.
The best thing that can happen is for QB's go 1-4
I dont think that Denver will go Cb after picking up two in FA they have other great needs.
Carolina needs to protect Darnold and give McCaffey some running lanes

No he's not. Parsons is rated higher.

Yes, he is. Chase is one of three or four blue chip talents, outside of QBs. Parsons is not. There's a huge chasm between these two guys as prospects.

That's not just my personal opinion either. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't think that.

Of course, that doesn't mean I'm right. But one of these guys is considered a slam dunk and the other definitely is not.

How is this scary? You have 2 blue chip talents staring you in the face in Chase and Parsons.

Pick one and be really happy.

In that scenario you have to take Parsons.

Bottom line....this is a weak draft.

Honestly, the closer we get to the draft, the stronger the class seems to get. We're talking about several guys who are generational type talents and several more who are blue chippers. Then add the strong 2nd/3rd round talent.

The issue isnt the talent, it's the fact that COVID shortened seasons and some guys sat out so there is more projection going on. I dig it because there seems to be greater influence on tape this year.

You either trade back or say welcome to the new LB Micah Parsons if the Cowboys stay true to the draft board.
