Of course they don't, they would rather bring back a soon to be 35 year old injury prone LB because "we like our guys". Yep, that's the ticket. Plus they will probably be dumb enough to extend LVE as well for the same reason. This FO is totally bonkers.
Hey keep throwing darts, you might get a vet cheap,
If you find a player desperate enough.
We got that DE from the Vikings cheap last year.
Hope is a strategy here in Dallas.

32 year old LB looking for a big payday is not what the Cowboys need.
Sad thing is, is he's better than anyone we got regardless of his age.

I'm kind of disappointed but with the way our LBers played last year we can upgrade through the draft with mid round picks.

Was never going to happen, wrong side of 30 and wanted top dollar.

Exactly. His game is going down and not up, and they just signed Neal to be the third LB behind two guys they’re not ready to give up on yet. And they’re going to pay good money to bring that guy in? No, it was never going to happen.

The only plus for Wright is that he knows the defense Quinn will be running, very well. Everything being equal, I’d like to have his experience in this system. However, for what he was going to want dollar wise, it never really made sense to me.

He’s just a name that fans know, so a lot wanted to sign him. Same reason that a lot of people were happy that they signed Haha and Poe last year.

We will be drafting LB high next year. I don’t trust LVE or Jaylon

Our LBs are horrible, but I can't seeing going all in on a dude who is 32.

While he may be an upgrade, he is still meh for me, especially if someone else has to be restructured to find the money.

It's not like LVE and Smith aren't going to get their shot, Neal is supposedly a LB, Bernard still may become something. Gifford is still around, and they will likely get one in the draft.

The part that bothers me is they thought they needed Perryman at one point, missed on him, but never signed a similar player.

Which was it?

Edit....also Lee is an all time Jerry favorite. If he wants to play they will make room for him.
