Slater is just a notch below Sewell, he is a legitimate blue chip prospect. Team has reached to fill a need before and had bad results-see Taco. If our OL continues to struggle being available, this team has no chance for success. Just looked what happened to the Chiefs. Two starters have back issues, one just had hip surgery and we have no idea if we need a future starter or not.

Surtain isnt reaching. Thats just something you keep making up in your head to make yourself feel better. We could have a shot at the #1 defensive player in the draft. Its a gift we need to cash in on.

Most compare Surtain to Bryon Jones, a solid corner, but not an elite one. Before Farley's surgery, many had him in the mid teens, that kind of where I see him. Very technical, solid player. In my opinion, drafting a top 10 prospect, I would rather swing for the fences and draft a player with all pro upside, which I don't see with Surtain. Pitts, Sewell, Parsons all possess that.

Surtain is widely regarded as the #1 defensive player in the draft. Byron Jones was an athletic project when he was drafted.

As far as Sewel and Parsons, I'm fine with those guys as well. Using a top 10 pick in a TE that isnt a position of high need is a poor use of the pick.

ONLY reason Surtain isnt top 5-8 is because of all the QB's projected to go and WR's in this draft.
