Odighizuwa, at 6’2” and 280 lbs, plays with great natural leverage and is strong against the run lined up for UCLA AS A 34 DE. That is a little short for a 5-technique DE however, his arms are a kinda freakish length for his height at over 34” long, which helps him on his pass rush.

He isn’t really the size that you’d think Dallas is looking for on it’s DL, but I was wondering if he might fit some of what Quinn is looking to do on the DL this season. He could play some 4-tech or 5-tech DE on run downs and then kick inside as a three technique in nickel and dime packages.

He has really nice movement skills and as I mentioned already, he plays with great leverage at 6’2”. I personally kind of like DL who are a tad short but have really long arms. They tend to have good leverage because of the height but the benefits of length because of long arms. Kind of the best of both worlds.

I’m just looking for some takes on the guy and thinking that he would provide some versatility for Quinn. I’m thunking that he might be an option if he’s still there in the 4th round, although he might go sooner because apparently the Steelers are interested in him for their 34 defense. I don’t think I’d want to take him earlier than the 4th, but he’s an interesting player.

The video below is from the always excellent Brett Kollmann, and is a set of 5 players who he views as undervalued. The part on Odighizuwa starts at the 7:07 mark, and he explains much of what I’ve been writing.

Kollmann’s stuff is always great and if you have the time, try to watch the whole video because he really knows his football.

I like his tenacity and he has experience at both positions. Four sacks in seven games along with six tackles for loss is impressive If he were there at the end of round three he might be an option. I think they like Milton Williams in the area also who they might have rated a little higher.

Thanks for the effort you put into posts like this one. I enjoy watching/reading about prospects because I quit watching most college ball years ago.

Keep up the excellent work!
