Didn’t realize the medical evaluation process was happening like this. Not only could we find about medical red flags that drastically changes things, but with only 2 personnel from each team allowed I gotta imagine they will be meeting with a limited # of prospects. Wonder if these vists/evaluations get leaked narrowing down who teams are truly interested in?

Farley could free fall if the issue with his back is worse than expected.

I'd be curious about Jaelan Phillips
I would be too. I have read where one of his weakness is his desire to play. Has the physical tools. This criticism could be from the concussion he had o believe

Multiple Concussions scares me off already.

I can see the Med. Evaluation now. Doctor-" Jaelin how many fingers am I holding up"? JAELIN-" Blue".
Started all 10 games for Miami, and was a dominate force on the DL.
Not only did he start all 10 games -- he was never sidelined with injury, & meanwhile registered all-American numbers at Miami -- you don't produce those numbers if you are an injury liability.
No injury history whatsoever at Miami.

Very possible that his concussions were misdiagnosed.
UCLA medical staff is/was notorious for its over-cautious diagnosis of concussions.
While Phillips was at UCLA, "The number of UCLA players sidelined appears to be an outlier among college football teams..."

He could be a Jordan Reed type player but the number of concussions that would require him to be a 10-12 game guy

Yeah I can see him getting a concussion in Training Camp and retire after he gets the Signing Bonus. Lost money and loss of a #10 Draft Pick.

Just got done with this another thread, but this narrative on Phillips is way misleading.

There’s more to the scenario than just Phillips “quitting” because of concussions. If anything the severe wrist injury he suffered in a moped accident may have been the cause for his brief retirement more than the concussions...and possibly more cause for concern in terms of medical checkups.

Assuming that bizarre scenario unfolds, he would have to pay back the signing bonus.

He showed good desire in his testing results.

He played so well this year. He looked like the best edge rusher in the draft. A good risk/reward between picks 20 and 40. His play and testing numbers make him look like he has a high desire to play and play well.

I would too if I knew I was going to get paid a lot of money. I am just saying what I read. It may all be behind him. I just don't want to pick another Barbie Carpenter like player.

To me his play and testing numbers make him a good pick in the 20's. If I am the Cowboys, I would consider him in a trade back from 10 or a trade up from 44. It is worth the risk to them because he could be outstanding on the edge.

Lol, go watch his highlights. This guy plays with a mean streak.

Ok. I watched him once and he played pretty good so I was stunned when I read some scouting reports on him talking about his motivation to play. In the game he looked pretty motivating to me. I was also hoping that he would drop to our 2nd pick but that is out of the question after his pro day.

I don't think he will last to 44. I'm thinking that he will go in the first round. Dane Brugler has him ranked 22. I've got him at 15 on my board. I'm really impressed with him.
